- To celebrate 6 years of this channel, and reaching 4, 000 subscribers (we're very close right now), here is another addition to Sounds of Albion. After my computer spat the dummy several times and decided it really hates long videos, I think it turned out nicely.
This is essentially an extended version of an older video with far less bird noise. If you'd like to see more 8-hour long extensions of the Fable soundtrack, leave a comment below.

There has never been another game with this much magic ambience since. Albion just felt like the most magical and alive world i've ever explored at the time. Absolutely love it!
It was 2007. After a relationship between my mother and father became non-existent, I looked through all my dads belongings. Amongst the rubble of boxes I found a CD case and inside of it was an original Xbox game copy of Fable. I didn't know what it was, but I didn't have a lot of games so I decided to play it. I remember playing this game not knowing what to expect and realizing this game is an absolute gem.
With how the soundtrack from Danny Elfman engages you into this fantasy world so much you can practically remember so many characters, even some of the less important ones. This is the only game in existence where other games have YET to even come close to this kind of feeling for me. The game is bizarre, but very intriguing so there's a happy medium to this game.

Fable 1 and 2 were just on a whole different level. 3 had it's ups, but it also definitely had its downs.
This puts me in a trance-like state that transcends normal consciousness, remembering what has gone by in a pleasant glow and bringing me to a place of happiness and satisfaction. Now enough talk about my life-sized Peter Molyneux body pillow. This music is great.
2:40-3:30 the depth of emotion in that section is overwhelming, I imagine the woods I grew up in during my childhood, running around building forts, laying down in the large grass meadow that the trail circled, catching crickets and playing hide-n-seek with the neighbors of my age.... I could cry right now just thinking of it....truly blessed childhood, I feel so deeply for those who never had the chance to experience that, that freedom, being in nature, with friends, no worries in the world.....that is where this section of musical excellence brings me....
If only Albion was a real place, then I could finally relax and let go of my burdens

Its music like this that is truly music. You don't need words to create the experience of an emotion. It is a great mystery why we are so intertwined with music we are the only creature that can create it. So far.. but Russell shaw is a beautiful soul with much to Express.
Have you ever ear any bird or something else ? A lot of them sing to flirt and find their mate. Some other animals too. Maybe music in the " complex " shape is the proper to human ( but how to know since we don't talk their language and than variation are maybe more subtle than we think), but not music itself wich is used by many species ( and the thousands of frogs at 1km of my house totaly agreed xD)

Playing Fable on the xbox at that age was something really special......the music instantly captured me, along with the feeling of being in a beautiful and "open" world. There are few games in my life that really had me at awe and addiction; Fable 1-2, WoW vanilla launch, and currently Star Citizen.
