During summer daylight hours, over 2,800 cubic meters of water thunders over the brink every second, travelling 65 kilometers per hour! I remember as a child, going right to the end of the tunnels behind the falls. Then you lean out and let the falling water splash on your head. Since then, erosion from the falls washed away a considerable portion of those tunnels.

I go there every single year with my family. The tunnels look like a nuclear base or power plant or something! I got soaked in my poncho. It didn’t really help.
