Just to clarify, yes, Billy unintentionally created The Road. It's his witch-themed Hex in contrast to Wanda's sitcom-based Hex. Mages out here warping reality to affirm to their hyperfixations. 😂
Remember Death told Agatha she was distracting her from Billy by killing the witches on The Road. I think Agatha was doing the same by distracting Death with the bodies of all those witches to give Nicky as much time as possible. It's not a coincidence that the one day they didn't kill any witches, Death came for Nicky. After Agatha lost her son, taking witches' lives became purely selfish. She did it for power and survival, out of resentment, anger and spite. She has always been an opportunist. At her lowest moment, she saw an opportunity to take the beautiful song she created with Nicky and further bastardize it for personal gain, despite knowing Nicky didn't want to do it anymore. That's why she can't face him in the afterlife.
30:11 Nicky says “My mother needs me home.” When he usually calls Agatha mama, he was talking about his other mom, his mother Rio, and on the one night Agatha didn’t kill witches so Rio had no bodies to collect instead 😭😭
Joe Locke's haunted eyes in his walk through westview in episode 8 and then him just crying quietly through the last scene both really kill me - Billy is an incredibly powerful witch, but he's also just a kid who's completely overwhelmed, and Joe holds that balance so well. He was surrounded by absolute LEGENDS on this show and totally held his own. So excited to see this weird little odd couple duo in the future, and also really hope to see Jen again, Sasheer absolutely killed it in episode 8!
"Death comes for us all." "You say that like it's a comfort." "It's what we all have in common." This really deserves the same kudos that "Grief is love persevering" got.

They ended up back at the start as soon as Billy said, "we're back to square one." He unknowingly created The Road and manipulated everything on it. The power of his mind! 🤯 "You're so much like your mother," indeed.
It was his subconscious mind. In an interview, Jac Schaeffer talked about how when they first set out on the road, there is a very lush soundscape that feels alive, but by the last walk they made the soundscape sound a little more canned and it loops. This series is now the highest-ranking mcu show, surpassing Loki. Every actress and Joe did the absolute most in acting! Can't wait Wiccan and Agatha duo in future movies!
In my head, Lillia didn't properly 'die'. Her consciousness returned to herself as a child, and she got to live over again. It's the only thing stopping me from feeling so sad from ep 7 😅
i can not imagine being rio, an immortal being, falling in love with someone for the first time just for them to hate the very thing you were made to do. i would crash out too tbh
I just realized that when she gets "reborn" at the end of episode 7, that is was kinda foreshadowed by the fact that she mentioned that as a child she saw death. Like that was probably one of her first gaps and she got comfort after fully understanding that. 😭
The best way to interpret Lilia's life is that it plays out like a shuffled tarot deck. All out of order, but once looked at properly, it still makes sense. Plus, people tend to forget, from birth to her early adult days, her mother and original coven branded her as an evil being that should be killed, of course she will bring that trauma with her into motherhood and instill into her son that other covens are going to treat them the same no matter who they are once they find out about her powers.
When Agatha said "because I can't face him!" when Billy was about to banish her... yes, it is about Nicholas.. but technically because of the song that they created together during the salem days... she used it as a power grab by killing witches and scammed about 'The Witches Road' that never existed for centuries until Billy subconciously made it using his reality warping power
So happy you're still wearing the bucket hat! The last few episodes really wreaked me, too. Wondering what they'll do with the rest of the series premise❤ I'm SO floored with Lilia's episode, so happy to see such intention and thought in a series.
You came to the episodes unspoiled, and I loved your *no-chill* reactions, and how you worked things out. :) After I saw episode 6, I then saw the theory that Billy had created the Witches' Road. Considering his reality-warping powers in the comics, I accepted that theory. Agatha really ran with the unexpected happening, though, making up rules for a Road that hadn't existed on the fly. I was surprised by how clever she was with the improvisation. Early in your reaction to episode 7, you said something like, "Gay boys can be fiery." I've been thinking through the whole series that Billy having his moments of being sassy is very comic book accurate. Sometimes Billy has Feelings, of course, and then there are the times he gives someone a snappy comeback. Early on in the Young Avengers -- which I recently reread -- Patriot said something, and Billy said, "Let me check my superhero rulebook. Oh, I left it in my other tights." Most of the Young Avengers could be snarky, though. Katie-Kate certainly had her moments. lol! Anyway... Another reaction I saw said how when an MCU viewer sees sparks of electricity, it will give them an idea that Wiccan is coming. That goes well with Billy's power over electricity. And then if you see the blue lightning, you know for sure. :) I liked how the Wiccan costume had the little red cloak, but that it also incorporated the hoodie part of the red hoodie of Billy's civilian clothes from his time early on as a Young Avenger. I very much enjoyed this series. It had divas, and fabulous costuming and music, and Billy Kaplan of the comics is one of my favorite Marvel characters. His introduction to the MCU was spectacular. :) The show was very much its own thing, though, so delightfully queer and campy, and with those moments of great emotion. It's a new thing for Marvel, but I highly approve. :)
not sure if u cought/connected this but agatha created the witches ballad with her son, it being just a song nicholas came up with. she later used HER DEAD SONS SONG to trick other witches and steal their magic/kill them
i also love that this brings a full connection between agatha and billy because agatha created the premise of the road and then billy turned it into a real thing
God I loved the first 6 episodes of this show, it was so fun. But these last 3 episodes? 10/10, chef’s kiss, no notes. I can’t wait until award season, I need to see an Emmy in Patti Lupone’s, Kathryn Hahn’s, and Joe Locke’s hands IMMEDIATELY! This entire cast ATE. Costume, hair, make-up, set design, plot, writing, dialogue, THE ACTING… again, no notes. I miss this show already.
Nicholas died because they didn't kill anyone that day. Death had no other souls to collect in that area besides his. Agatha killed witches by using her ability to take their powers in exchange for more time with Nicholas. She distracted Death with other souls. After a while, it became habit. Fueled by her habits and negative emotions, she continued to kill using their scam. My theories: This may also have been her way of keeping Nicholas with her in some way, or maybe she thought if she killed enough people then Death would give Nicholas back.
People have been saying that she used Nicky as a baby to kill the witches she met at the forest. That's not true, when the witches let her in the circle, they did so to eat the baby; remember that Agatha can only take power when she's blasted with it.
I always thought this was a love story, not romantic, but between a woman and her surrogate son who she has known since he was born. When Rio says “I know how you feel about him” I feel like that proves it was the case. She would not have let him die and Locke said that he doesn’t believe Billy would ever have banished her. That’s why it didn’t work. He didn’t want it to. Agatha loved two people in her life: Nicholas and Billy.
I'm not surprised with what they do in the series, I'm only surprised her show is calmer than the majority of modern witch TV shows. Caileach's secrets in early history really changed my imagination of a witch. But I have that insight of lots of the witch and Fairy characters often being the same list. Especially with knowing some of the Tuatha De Danaan story secrets.
I hear so many reviewers say "Why haven't the citizens moved away from Westview, the answer is simple, they can't afford to move because after the "Westview anomaly" they can't sell their homes and therefore can't afford to move away.
So in the comics the witches road it’s important & that’s why I thought they wrote the lyrics “spirit as our guide” Because when Wanda walks the witches road, ghost Agatha guides her down the road.
this show was everything to me 🩵 I don't think I've cried so hard for a Marvel character like Lilia since maybe Tony Stark or when Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man caught Zendaya's MJ in No Way Home (EDIT: and for when Wanda lost the family she built *duh*) 🥹 I'm so proud of all the queerness and the intersectional female representation rahhhh it's a good time to be a Marvel fan Niall, it was your commentaries I'd look forward to the most for this show 🫶 so happy you were as obsessed as the rest of us
To answer your question, no this episode did make me love Lilia, the first scene she was in made me love Lilia, Patti LuPone was cast perfectly and she absolutely deserves an Emmy for her performance in "Agatha All Along".
at the end of episode 7, Lilia starts back at the beginning, symbolizing that now she has seen her life out of order she can finally go back and live it the way she's supposed to. also, the planning that Lilia's character must have taken is insane.
I just have to say!! You reactions are everything! I tend to skip reaction videos to my favorite parts of the show! But I always watch yours all the way!! Love it! 🤩🤩
If you watch again you'll see Nicky and Agatha wrote the witches song together! That's how Agatha knew the road wasn't real. And I heard that Agatha being a ghost at the end was a requirement from Marvel and they wrote the show knowing that's where it had to end, so Marvel must have more plans for ghost Agatha!
My theory is that Lilia isn't dead. A) We didn't actually see her die the way we did with Alice and Sharon. B) We learned with Jen that once you get what you need from the road, you instantly leave. And C) If she sees the events of her life out of sequence, she couldn't have been dead when she told Agatha about "when she calls you a coward, duck."
While we don't know the exact specifics in regards to the time Death gave Agatha with Nicky, my thoughts are as follows. I believe Nicholas was meant to be stillborn, he was meant to die as soon as he was born. Death, out of her love for Agatha, allowed him to live in exchange for the lives of other witches. Agatha has stated, and shown, that she can only steal a witch's magic if they attacker her or (in one instance against Wanda) if her magic directly collides with theirs, yet during the scenes with Nicholas she doesn't seem to have this restriction as she's able to steal the magic of the forest witches who offered her aid. I think somehow Death gave her the ability to steal the "time" of other witches in order to give it to her son, as, on the day he died, he didn't help Agatha lure other witches to their death.
I think he was always going to live another 6 years. He was a sickly child on borrowed time. But Agatha thought that stealing other witches powers would grant her time. And thats why shes so ashamed and cant face Nicky, because she did all of that especially when Nicky didnt like it and it was for nothing.
I feel the need to point out that Billy didn't kill anyone even though he takes on that responsibility and burden. Yes, he created the road, but he didn't kill them- all of them knew they could die because of the lore (except for Sharon and Agatha is responsible for bringing her anyway). We don't blame the people who invented cars for every death caused by a car accident, do we?
Agatha and Wanda are very LinkedIn the comic she’s her mentor dead and alive. Wanda also killed her once. She and Wanda walked the real witches road in the comics and Agatha was revived got a younger body and is an antagonist to wanda
20:30 I really want Javon Walton to play Tommy because there are a lot of rumors about it, but I think it's unlikely that he'll be the actor for Tommy. 😢
Did we lose Lilia? She lived her life out of order until that last fall, but then she started back at her training, perhaps now understanding the nature of her divination powers. She could be living her life, not as a scattered set of scenes, but with understanding of her visions.
I'm still so confused as to why Agatha continued to kill witches after Nicholas was taken by death. I thought the whole point was she was only doing it to satiate death and keep her son alive. But after that, there's no reason for her to do it other than she wanted to???
Yeah that’s my gripe with the show. Cuz rio kept saying she only defended herself from her mother and coven but if she was supposed to be a more complicated character it didn’t come across. She was willing to lure witches for hundreds of years just to absorb magic (we can technically excuse the ones with Nicky as that’s closer to a pact with the devil) and was about to do the same to this group until Lilia called her out on it and stopped the other two. She’s also willing to bind other witches for money and she willingly drained Alice completely when we see she can control it. I think her Evanora was right that Agatha is evil.
I think that she was trying to get more and more powerful with the hopes that someday she'd get enough magical power to find some way of resurrecting Nicky. This is probably why she wanted to take Wanda's powers in WandaVision, and presumably why she got the Darkhold.
I think it was a power addiction. I also think that it kept Nicky’s memory alive because they wrote the ballad together and they would kill witches together.
Love watching your reaction videos, but I can't believe you waited 2 weeks to watch these 3 episodes together. Bravo, good sir! Episode 7 is probably one of the most singularly incredible episodes of television. I hope they submit 7 for the Emmys in writing, direction, supporting actress for Patti Lupone, and score/music. Just so amazing, but it's a long wait until nominations next year, and so many shows can potentially come in between now and May 31st next year that can upend the Emmy race. Here's to hoping, though. Disney is already submitting the show for the winter awards (Golden Globes, Critics Choice, SAGs) as a comedy this year. If it gets nominated, it'll boost chances for the Emmys next year, but we shall see. Love the show so much, regardless of whether it picks up any award nominations.
Just watching the last eps I knew we weren't done yet. I need more. I'm so happy you gave us these reactions, I needed to know if anyone else was as invested as I was cuz Omg! 🤍🤍🤍

She's a divination witch so she can see the future
26:56 gurl no u didn't 😂
And Jen will be out in the world not realizing that the road was fake
20:00 "ohhh, i miss the Scarlet Wedge"
IM SO HAPPYYYY EEEEE I CANT WAIT TO WATCH THIS 😄😄😄😄
I feel the need to point out that Billy didn't kill anyone even though he takes on that responsibility and burden. Yes, he created the road, but he didn't kill them- all of them knew they could die because of the lore (except for Sharon and Agatha is responsible for bringing her anyway). We don't blame the people who invented cars for every death caused by a car accident, do we?
aaaa finallyy been waiting for days!!
Agatha and Wanda are very LinkedIn the comic she’s her mentor dead and alive. Wanda also killed her once. She and Wanda walked the real witches road in the comics and Agatha was revived got a younger body and is an antagonist to wanda
Joe crushed it!!!
U spoke too soon when you said i hope no one dies 😔😔
Jen will gossip to other witches that she has entered the Witches road and got her powers back from the Witches road, even though it is not true😭
It's my understanding from another video, Jen is ghost rider's cousin.
20:30 I really want Javon Walton to play Tommy because there are a lot of rumors about it, but I think it's unlikely that he'll be the actor for Tommy. 😢
Agatha is throwing shade if I had the power to create my own tv show I would ask for consent before I did it
you remind me so much of brad evans!!
Rio is not the villain. She is the natural order. Agatha is the villain. She always has been. Maybe an anti villain. But Rio is not the villain.
Such a great show! I’m glad you had so much fun with it. I did as well. 🏳️🌈
Did we lose Lilia? She lived her life out of order until that last fall, but then she started back at her training, perhaps now understanding the nature of her divination powers. She could be living her life, not as a scattered set of scenes, but with understanding of her visions.
I loved being a witch /*
omg i e been waiting so long for this reaction diva!!! love ya, mwah 😙 🫶❤️
LETS GO FIND TOMMY 📢📢📢📢

Obligatory comment
She got a little insane 😂
she wasn’t just killing them she was taking their power
