The biggest issue is, this will create the same problem the old big east had - basketball schools vs football schools. - and the SEC, Big10, Big12 will once again poach the football teams. Even with the streaming revenue - the other conferences will eventually copy or implement a similar system, so that' wont be a long term advantage. Also the leadership in BOTH conferences are inept and not forward thinking. but i agree if we're joining the ACC , this would be the only viable option - albeit only temporarily .
i think you are right, but I do think its inevitable but it wont but until after ACC folds its big schools. But Big East will probably restart football with Syracuse, Boston College, UConn, Wake Forest and whoever else is left out of top 3 leagues.
