wow...interesting. I remember watching the Rebirth of Mothra 1 and 2 on the Sci-Fi channel...but i have only seen bits and pieces of this one...watching behind the scene footage of any Godzilla related movie is fun.
love how the Rebirth series started with original monsters as the villians; but by the third Toho went "Oh f*** it....BRING IN GHIDORAH!" still, good movies
There technology and movie making process is no different than what we have here in America, they use puppets and people in rubber costumes and animatronics for the monsters in the Godzilla and Mothra movies and all the monster movies they make, ToHO is probably Japan's version of Jim Henson's creature shop.
These special effects are cheesy by today's standards but you have to give them credit, it's a lot of work to film it the way they do. In any case I love Mothra and of the three, this one is probably the best (though the first was pretty good too)

Mothra travelling to Cretaceous Period to kill Grand King Ghidorah in the Future. To kill Grand King Ghidorah, he must beat GKG younger form at Cretaceous Period to kill Grand King Ghidorah.
Don't like the fact that armor mothra was able to defeat Grand king Ghidorah so easily. Ok so what all 3 sisters powers came together, if armor mothra can defeat an opponent that once took 2..3 other monsters including Godzilla. How about Millennium Godzilla Vs. Armor mothra, bet the moth will need a 8th tranformation to win that one, what will it be? Legendary mothra? smh
It's amazing what toho use's in the films they make. I cant believe that people mock this wonderful piece of art. GO TOHO GO!
Watching this makes me want to see the film again. Grand King Ghidorah is so badass.
