Good news and bad news. The good news is that my potato laptop can run RA3 on Medium, and even High settings (though it can only record well up to Medium). The bad news is that I didn't test this until I was mostly done recording. So the only missions with Medium settings recorded are Allied Missions 7-9 and Imperial Mission 9. Rest assured, for Uprising, it will all be on Medium graphics.
Unfortunately the video didn't have time for animated segments. But by using the expert tactic of thematically fitting FMV sequences with appropriate military attire, you can release it anyway. Loved it, can't wait for uprising.
Great video! Love the logic you had to make it purely infantry only. And I especially love the FMV stuff you did. Now you need to do Uprising to continue this challenge. Uprising gives you Desolator Troopers, Cryo Legioneers, and Archer Maidens fir infantry. And Steel Ronin who are mech suits and not robots, so they count. But the Allies really are the boring faction. But that meme "SPACE" line did age well, it became a meme after all. And congrats on beating the last level of the Rising Sun campaign with infantry only, mostly. First time I played it years ago, no challenges though, I nearly lost and my ally had only a battleship, ore mine, two ore collectors, and a turret. Needless to say I had to throw everything I had to try and gain even a few inches of ground. But getting to that last segment and winning the campaign was so relieving that it was well worth the pain. Still hate that Yokohama Harbor mission with a firey passion though. Too frustrating for me to ever consider playing again.
this is the first video i've seen about Red Alert 3. honestly, i was never a dedicated RTS fan, i just liked Age of Mythology for the playstile and the medieval-mythical setting, and then when i saw Starcraft, i was like "whoa, a game like Age of Mythology but sci-fi!", because i always liked sci-fi. i never really cared historical or modern/realistic themed genres, and i thought Command and Conquer/Red Alert stuff are one of them. but what i saw here was more like a "modern/historical fantasy", and i pretty much liked it. i will give a try to the game, so thank you :)
I may be late but remember during WW2 Poland had conscripted as official soldier a bear named Wojtek who was leutenant by the end of ww2 as he helped with getting amunition fir artillery and caught a spy. And by that i say if bear can be artilley man he can definitelly be an infantry man
