How long did it take you to learn it? I was trying for an hour last night to learn it from another video from 9 years ago, and I was just plain confused. I got the first few notes, but it's the rhythm or should I say phrasing of how the melody goes that confuses me. I'm trying to memorize the notes really hard but I'm struggling with the melody.
I've seen many guitar tutorials especially on the hey Joe solo....this is the best. Period. Thank you.

Right with you. Go off to another song and come back, it worked for me. Good luck....
