In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

I'm actually quite impressed with Alex's throws and the accuracy of his throws to Munya.
This and the soccer task in Series 12 has always impressed me with Alex’s athleticism!
if only he'd put a little more power into them
@@heliotropei soccer? Don't you mean football?
@@neongrey333 Or put a cushion in the bucket after it bounced right back out the first time!
Seems like he'd be good at cricket.
Fern not grasping that something non-alive can be caught is one of my favourite moments.
I would give everything to have a genuine look into her brain lmao
It is a good example of how autism can fixate and railroad your thought process.
@@chompette_ Is she autistic?
I immediately went to catch a cold
"Ooh my baby" is such a legendary TM moment now
Yeah, Dara's task was so impactful I couldnt even remember the other contestants by watching the thumbnail. xD
I wonder if the extended directors cut will be released, showing an extra 19 minutes of rolling down the hill footage, and an extra 3 minutes of flying through air footage. The R rated version was destroyed.
Alex unable to resist laughing after Fern's "People...? Kidnap...?!" will always get me.
Or y'know, playing chasey
@@Ryzza5 I too, am wondering why she didn't chase and catch Alex. Or catch him by surprise.
The baby's turn to camera got me.
And the reaction shots from Ollie too.
That honking horn impression was so fucking spot on!!
i had to double take it
It's too bad Fern didn't have enough time to actually catch a fish or a bird. At least we got one of the best movies of recent years, "Oooh ma baby," which really should've been nominated for a BAFTA and Best Foreign Film Oscar.
Yes, Alex should have immediately eliminated her time constraint so we could all watch her go try to kidnap someone!!
@@chelseap2071 And if she thought it's the point of the task, I would love to see her make a "spectacular" catch. She'd probably kidnap the Queen or something
4:55 I love how teacher Greg is subtly poking through
I feel like Alex knew Sarah wanted him edited out and kept it in to make it funny. I also think he showed the clip of Fern jumping to emphasize it was mostly CG. He knows how to manipulate Greg’s scoring.😂
yeah, thank god he showed that clip of Fern jumping. At first I thought she actually flew up into the sky to catch a star.
Fern having never heard of catching a ball is just fascinating to me.
Catch a falling star and put it in your pocket 🎶🎶
No it’s the autism, once the catching an animal idea was there it pushed out other meanings/possibilities
John should have got more points for this. His catch was ODI calibre
Okay but hearing Alex say fuck is a rare occurrence
It came off kinda adorable like a little kid learning their 1st swear word. 😂
A video reminder of this great series? WORD UP MY SLIME!
I was reading "SUPERMUM" on Munyas back for the hole series. This is the first time i see it´s "SUPERMUN". ^^
He can't be a mum yet, he's only 21 or something! That's way too young
Lol, I love that her first idea was to catch a virus that could potentially kill her.
Go big or go home

@@billbauer9795 What propaganda? Listen when people speak of their personal experiences, if you don't believe the "propaganda", dippy!
@@CaptainBollocks.... Nah, that doesn't work. Those people surround themselves with anti-vaxxers, so all personal experiences they hear match their narratives
And what was it you said when Munya quite reasonably asked you to put more power into your throws?
"Ooo, M'Baby!" Would've been a delightful call-back one-person play
Munya really needed to clap his hand down on top of the bucket instead of expecting the ball not to bounce out. So there was a little fault on Munya's part.
Or put a cushion in it.
@@glockenrein oh youre smart!
yeah feel like it even would've worked better if he just used his hands
Give Dara an acting award for Ooh my baby 😆
Does anyone else think that Dara looks incredibly like Smeagol from Lord Of The Rings in that wig ?
I mean, every part of his face is weird and wrong (he seems to still have baby teeth?..) so yes
I thought more Marla from A League of Their Own, in her first scene with batting practice inside a gym.
Fern is me in every moment of my life
Featuring commedia dell'arte stock character Ooo Ma Baby.
I don't think there'll ever be a time I'll not want to be able to do Sarah's horn noise!
Tbh pretty impressed by Alex's throwing skills!
I was trying to think the other day, what was that task that was the first time Alex swore? Here we are 🤣
2:34 common John Kearns mood
omggggg Dara's one SENT ME
Ooh My Baby would genuinely be such a great commercial 😂
I forgot how much I love fern!
ITS ME FERN BRADY ME FERN BRADY!
I don't think I've ever heard Alex swear, out of character, outside of this task.
06:18 John looks annoyed, and munya nudges him to try and him get him to clap.
Got to be one of the best seasons. They are all good though.
Random request, any chance of uploading the original trailer for taskmaster where Greg and Alex are on a Mountain with Lightning. The only copy online looks like it was filmed with a potato.
You could always catch bananas with your mouth. Right, Fern?
Totally rewatched this series over the last couple days, think I saw this episode yesterday or the day before. I’m still happy to rewatch this again lol. Love this show and I hope everyone is excited for the new episode this week! It is so great to get to catch it just a day behind the Brits.
I've accidentally discovered this channel today. Are there other British channels, like this, I could be enjoying? Y'all are so funny!
I think you should check out 8 out of 10 cats does countdown
I quite like “Would I Lie to You?”, “QI”, “8 Out of 10 Cats does Countdown” and “Mock the Week” :-)
@@kaylabradburyliggett Thanks for the recommendation. I do get a laugh out of it.
@@metrowyn I'll check them out. Thank you!
Search for Would I Lie to You. Lots of brilliant episodes out there!
Towel or water in bucket: Nah?
This task is the worst I've felt for Alex. Him throwing that ball to Munya over and over again while Munya just sits there and shouts orders at him goes beyond "haha alex is suffering" to "munya is being so cruel to him"
Dara looks exactly out of Despicable Me in this task
Ooomababy!
Desperate for some older S1 and S2 outtakes / extra tasks!
Why the hell didn't Munya put something in the bucket to dampen the ball after it had bounced out, TWICE!?
Like water right?
Two reasons come to mind:
(1) MOST impressive, and
(2) the second bounce-out immediately followed the words "this is my last ball." So, I know you meant for it to be twice and THEN a change in tactics, but . . . for that I give you 2 points.
I wish every series could be series 14
Series 15, 16,17 are good but they're forgetting to give some male eye candy, Fern was perfect in series 14
How many people go back and rewatch seasons? Just me? I bet not. Some of the seasons I've watched over 5 times even.
It's literally the only thing I watch. It's clever people doing random stuff to entertain and pass the time. It's edited really well, positive and encouraging
Season 4 and 12 are seasons I rewatch the most but season 7 is in a league of its own in terms of rewatching lone tasks, compilations, entire episodes, Greg reacting to his mother in the tub, Jess falling off the stage, James’ hula hooping breakdown, Rhod taping his eyes open, Phil’s pendulum drawing the eye, Keri’s laminator!
@@A_O_Leary One of my faves too!
@@fuchila2point0 Me too!!
Im always in a constant rewatch it's just on a loop in the background every day 😅
Omg, Fern! 🤣🤣🤣
Catch 👋🎾
I feel like Munya would've won if he thought to include a lid in his plan.
I use "oh for fu--'s sake" a lot.
I’m waiting for season 3 of Taskmaster NZ 🥺😔❤️
my guess is that they're going up once series 17 has concluded, it's viewable in the UK on All4
Munya caught Alex swearing or actually Greg did, so Greg should've won 5 points.
Uh my baby!
OLLIE!
What's with the edits? wasn't this series more fun when they actually had to do the task?
how did a simple task turn into a short film festival? 🙂
Those tasks that give 20min but have night time recordings always confuse me, how does it work?
the 20 minutes allocated is for everything that’s in control of the contestant, but alex pauses the clock for anything that the taskmaster staff have to do :))
And I know that they don’t necessarily shoot the same tasks for each contestant in the same order. There is a really cool video on here from the main editor of Taskmaster where she gives some great insight into the production. It’s hard not to get a bit intrigued about the production process the more I’ve watched the show. You may find it interesting. I wish I could remember the title/channel of that video though.
@@Casey-hz1sn dropping my dot here in case you remember it later!
.
Munya!! Just add some towels to the bottom of the bucket to reduce the bouncing!!
honestly, I dont think this points distribution is fair.
I mean, the idea behind ferns and sarahs video is creative, but neither of them actually caught anything. fern literally just jumped up a few centimeters and then had the editors do all the work.
I am also very doubtful on whether they stayed within the 20 min time limit.
I would have rioted if Dara hadn't won this one. Also, I know the answer is probably "almost certainly not," but I wonder if there's any shared etymology between Munya's Zimbabwean surname of "Chawawa," and the Mexican state (from where the dog breed gets its name) of "Chihuahua."
For some reason, after the 1st sentence, I read the rest of that in Dara's voice.
Oh great...now it's stuck in my head!
Wait, what...what? Wait.
The fact that no one thought to just immediately tackle Alex proves that we are VERY different people... or they consider Alex terribly unimpressive. Probably the latter now that I think about it.
I was surprised that Greg didn't mention that Dara seemed to be attracted to himself in his "movie". It is the kind of thing that he would mention. I mean Dara played both parts and the way he looked when the baby was caught at the other Dara.
Wait what?
3:02 where was the ball?
It's very blurred and feint but it's visible if you played back at a lower speed and looked somewhat to the top left corner.
@@bootieos7701thanks!! :)
good entries in the make a short film task id probably give john 5 points and manya 4 points for attempting a catch and the rest 0. maybe 1 for dara for caching the doll even if it was just thrown from slightly off camera.
Ah, fuckit, im not winning this one, so ill cath a break
Fern
So, two contestants got next to zero editing and post-processing, and three contestants got full production values for their tasks? Why wasn't Munya given the chance to just CGI the ball into the bucket??
I was thinking about that. I would have asked the camera man to toss me a random item in the room where I found the letter lol.
because he didn't ask for that. contestants get from production team what THEY ASK FOR in their 20 min. First 2 contestants were good but it is their fault they were not more creative and didn't ask for GGI.
That black skirt is shorter than my attention span.

I think the baby deserved a point for Dara's attempt
