Many years ago, I had a '78 model and hated the bumpers and side view mirrors. Didn't do anything about the bumpers, but I did change out the mirrors. The brand was Vitaloni, the model was the baby Turbo
Your Spider looks great! I like the changes you made very much. I am working on my own 1985 US spec S3 Spider. But, my project is well behind yours. Still, you have given me some ideas for changes I am planning. I am assembling the engine for it now. Using a 2.0 Twin Spark. Yes, I know it won't fit under the hood. I am going to move the engine down and back in the chassis. Cheers from Chicago.
@@oo-fanTom-oo you can put your hand from the right side under from the glove box side in case if the radio is attached from behind and have some security screws
All your modifications are spot on. It now looks awesome and I have planned the same mods for my series 2 American Spider. Lol. Those side mirrors really were hideous 😲
Hi. Thanks for sharing. The earlier door cards are a great improvement, but what did you do about a door pull? Did you install the earlier chrome pull handle, or something else?
I got lucky, my 74 had the small bumperettes in the front, then a big truck backed up into me and smashed the front of the car. So when I took it to the repair place, they said they could not order the same front bumper but they had the bumper without the two protruding ugly things sticking out so they put that on. Unfortunately I still have the back bumper looking that way but at least it is steel except for the two protrusions which are black. But nobody notices that. everything else I have because it's a 74 except the radio which I do not think is necessary. My problem now is the Spica pump is failing and you can't find anybody to work on those so I will have to swap it out for carbs
Very interesting. I live in Canada and have owned my 1987 Alfa Romeo Spider Graduate for 25 years. Your video has inspired me (enough to subscribe) even though I have always attempted to keep my girl original. Her name is Sara and she is black on black on black with approximately 135,000 km. Now that you see my name and I advised you of my Alfa's moniker, what is your name?
👍Correction, Alfa did not install radio's in cars, the came with a blank plate, installed by car dealers, that is why you see the antennas in all different places on Alfa's. I have a series 2 and I think the look the best, I think you should in install the the round indicator front sides for the Euro look that you want.
optimal playback speed 1.25 😅
Very elegant upgrades. My compliments on your Alfa.
Thank You

Very nice.
thanks
Very cool 👌🇮🇹❤️
Great conversion!
thanks
I agree 100%. The Spider's of this time in the US were affected with tasteless safety upgrades, ruining the look of this timeless classic.
where do you source the door cards? they look great along with other mods!
Thanks, I got them from classic alfa
Very nice conversion! One question. Where did you source out rear bumper?
classic alfa in uk
What is your opinion of Spica fuel injection vs Weber carbs?
If the spica works correctly it is better than carbs, but carbs are much easy to operate, so both systems have advantages and disadvantages...

Yes, you can install an early-type door handle
