Water ,iron works almost 90%, pour some water, put a tissue paper on it , then keep a hot iron on it for few seconds, then slowly remove the tissue paper. repeat same for 2-3 times.

ice method is not really working.... but the toothpaste method was really superb... I got a gum attached on my leather purse.... and I had tried many methods but colgate method really worked... you can use any old toothbrush in place of cloth to remove gum...

Oh well, I have just tried to remove a chewing gum with baking soda and failed. After I applied a toothpaste and it work but some faded spot was left, I applied baking soda again and started rubbing with the paper tissue as shown, faded spot-remains of chewing gum still on the surface of jet black pants, washed that place just with cold water, now I applied Vanish , let's see how it works. best easiest and quickest is to spray the gum with nubuck and suede spray cleaner, leave for a few seconds and i will guarantee the gum will scrape off easily with a blunt knife, the solvent will evaporate and leave no marks !
