How to assemble, use and store a portable DIY miter saw stand that can cut long or short lumber. Video includes all dimensions. Do a search on youtube for "usefulgizmos" to get links to all of my other youtube videos.
You, sir, are a genius! I was searching for generator quiet box and landed on your "5X Quieter Generator quiet box..." video. After watching that video (which is probably the best one on that topic, I've seen online), I decided to see what else you had done. You've shown me a bunch of new ideas/techniques that I can use in my projects, and for that, you have my sincere thanks!
Usefulgizmo, Thanks so much for sharing this video and information. Like you, I used what lumber I had on hand.and pretty much followed your instruction to the letter, I did not use shelf brackets as I didn't have enough, I used 4 - short 2x6 boards and they work just as well as your brackets. And the sliding leg / brace is definitely necessary to counterbalance the saws weight. I built my unit last week and still haven't had the chance to put it away as I have been using the miter saw so much. Truly made my saw so much more useful. Thanks again!
That's great! Would love to see a picture or two of your setup. If so inclined, plz send the pictures to usefulgizmos@gmail.com. Happy miter-sawing and have a great day! .... Usefulgizmos
I've been hesitant to spend $150 on a stand. After watching your video, I am ready to built my ownat a fraction of a cost and still have plenty of room to store it. Thank you very much for your detailed video. Much appreciated.
Thank you for the very informative video. You did a really good job. I'm going to use this for my miter station in my outside aluminum carport except I'm going to build it onto the carports vertical beams and have it so the beam swings up when I need to use it and then swings back down and lays flat against the wall but near the ground so the SUV door doesn't hit it when it opens.
Thanks Billy for your kind comments. I'm trying to envision the setup you described but can't quite get the picture. Would be great if you could follow up with a reply after your setup is built. TH-cam doesn't allow posting a picture directly in youtube comments but if you upload a picture to a website and then include a link to the picture(s), that will work. ..... Keep it warm, Usefulgizmos
There are two holes in the platform. I have two 6 penny common nails in the wall and I hang the platform on those nails using those two holes. Thanks for watching and have a great day! .... Usefulgizmos
Oh, I forgot about that one and you're the first one who expressed interest in drip irrigation. Will review which videos are missing and post them as time permits. Currently repairing a broken fence by the front sidewalk so that will take have to take priority. Thank you for your patience. .... Usefulgizmos
