  • Hey house lovers and explorers! This video I drive and trek out to a very secluded rural farm house built in the late 1800`s/1900 ish. A very long drive way gave this place an eerie but also exciting feel. Not lived in for a long time so come with me and see what what left behind and figure out what went on here. Old sheds also suggest a very prominent farming family once lived here and worked this land. Hope you enjoy, cheers for watching :-)

Would have been a grand old dame back in the day when it was a going concern. I love these stone dwellings, in NSW the old farmhouses were wooden with wrap around verandah. I grew up in one which l think was federation era, there were two really old wide girthed palm trees in front and a huge old peppercorn tree out the back. My dad made a swing for me off one of the big branches, l loved it! The farm was a chicken farm which produced loads of eggs that a truck would come to pick up the boxes of eggs that held many dozens in each box. I can still see my mum and sister in the packing shed busy packing eggs, usually in a hurry if the truck was due ready to load up and take to the Egg Board! Lovely memories! 🦘🇦🇺🤗😁🥰

Hi ytgad7000 👍😁 yes both SA and NSW have very distinct house styles in the rural areas. So glad you have vivid memories of growing up in one. You paint a great picture of how these properties had hard working families utilising the land 😁👍🙂

This really is in the middle of nowhere but this is where all the best
empty abandoned houses are and this old house was another great
find especially way out here, the outside is very nice with the several
small sheds and barns, inside the house it was kind of big and spacious
very empty of furniture except maybe a cabinet and a bed, outside was a
lot huge for a farm with the barns and sheds, another really great video
and look at the beautiful countryside of Australia have a very wonderful
week take care until your next new video and Thank You very much Paul.

So, Paul, I'm only about a third of the way of this video- I want to live here, but I have a new proposition for you, lol.
You know these farmhouses are my very favorite, but that is because this is how I grew up, on a cattle ranch, and I love seeing all of this, and would dearly love to live on any of these properties, but some people love the cottages in the city, some people love some of the other properties you cover- you cover them all, and you have encyclopedic knowledge of all of it, and you take the time to answer questions, and look up information on the properties, you know about wells, water tanks, the wildlife, ---- all of it. You also have all of the footage, from what? How many properties now?????
SO, that got me thinking, it would be SO amazing if you put it all together into a documentary. I have no idea how these things work. You would have to come up with a script, but I will tell you, that your accent is absolutely perfect for narration! You could approach, oh, I don't know, Netflix, Frevee, Pluto---- all of those channels, & whatever channels you have in Australia, and make some serious money. (plus my coffee table book, lol). Michael could help. I have no idea what it entails, but I do know you are this good and all of this deserves to be on some streaming service. It would be amazing. I know it would go over really well here in the States. Think about it. Merry Christmas. Hugs to Cats!- SDK

Look at that beautiful, intact roofline! Exquisite!
Flies remind me of mid-summer on eastern shore of Maryland, USA. Black flies were horrible, you had to plan trips to and from your car, park close, and RUN. they would swarm you and bite, hard. 😂

Oh it looks so lovely & warm, maybe even hot there. I shiver as I speak from a freezing U.K. here, in which the vast majority of people cannot afford to heat their homes. You can keep the flies though. We do not need those. We already have stinking beaches because water companies were allowed to increase water & sewage bills hugely, claiming they needed to, in order to bring the sewage processing up to date & then used the money to give their executives & shareholders big bonuses & premiums instead.

The termites probably feasted on the floorboards before starting on the door frames. Do they just die out eventually or are they still around to finish off the rest of the wood? Also wondering if the farmer was charged for the miles and miles of cable when the electricity was installed, or were the State/Electric company obligated to install it?
