You cast your buffs, shoot your guns, and revel in the dopamine rush from seeing a ton of red numbers. Obviously it's not going to work against bosses with inaccessible weakspots or no weakspot at all, but that's true of any build using Corrupted Nebula, even ones focused on its mod.
Thanks for the awesome build. I’m really struggling with Annihilation right now (Regenerator + Elemental Resist). I’m going to try this out later. You and Bolt make the best builds. 🤘✌️
Honored to be mentioned alongside a legend like Bolt. This build is great against Annihilation because of his gigantic weakspot, but if you're struggling it might not be the best choice since Devoured Loop lowers your defenses and every item is dedicated to damage. I highly recommend Bolt's tank Engineer build, the balance of tankiness and damage lets you roll over just about any boss. The only changes I'd make to his setup is running Closed Loop over Crimson Dreamstone since it works with the Impact Cannon for even more survivability, and swapping the 10 points in Potency to Flash Caster since you'll be tossing and redeploying the turret frequently.
Dude, your builds are so much fun! I'm new to Remnant 2 and now I'm really having a blast. May I ask what you'd do with the Daredevil's charm? I feel like it's too limiting since there's so many good amulets to choose from...
@@nabbunsechkie Daredevil's Charm is technically one of the highest dmg amulets around. However the tradeoff is getting one shot by almost everything because you have no armor. Not really much reason to use it when something like Cost of Betrayal gets you 5/6 of the damage increase without forcing you to not wear armor. Only practical application I can see is when speed killing bosses, which is very niche and you'd still only pick it if the build doesn't have a better more specific amulet it wants. For example Talisman of the Sun will far out perform Daredevil's charm on a fire/burning build.
@@Dainurian right, that's what I meant by limiting. It did seem powerful but, too niche. Keep up the great work on these build videos! New DLC drops in a few hours lol
That is a wild interaction, I'm kinda worried they're gonna change the nebula's 'ranged' damage to mod damage after seeing this haha. Gonna have to try it asap
I don't think it really makes sense for the nano bots to count as anything other than ranged damage since they're spawned from just shooting the gun. If they do anything, I imagine they would change the specific interactions like how they changed Bandit to not work with the nano-bots a while ago. I really hope they leave it be though; all of this is completely unique to Corrupted Nebula and opens up a ton of interesting synergies for items that don't normally get used like Onyx Pendulum.
@@Lv6_Esper yes all of the interactions currently still work, I can manage around 13k DPS on the dummy with a prism. And you don't need a prism specifically for this build, any generic HUGS prism will work.
Thanks, I try to incorporate cool interactions with practical uses when showing off these builds. You learn some interesting things testing stuff at the firing range :)
Holy shit. This might be better than running Nebula in the pocket for crit stacking builds. Side note for people that have bad aim or are on controller like me, using Monarch is also a great choice. You can then replace the Leaking Gemstone with Braided Thorns.
Definitely better than regular Nebula for pure firearm DPS if the situation allows for it, +20% crit chance and damage from the Momentum interaction is way stronger than +10% all damage from Corroded. Enabling Onyx Pendulum is great too, since it's a good damage increase only held back by being annoying to stack. The downside is getting cockblocked by enemies with annoying weakspots since you need to be able to spawn the nano-bots for anything to work. Overall this is something I'd use against specific bosses with easy weakspots, but I'd stick with a more traditional setup for fights where this isn't the case. Monarch is definitely good for the auto-aim, but it's not as good at using Thousand Cuts as Plasma Cutter and doesn't have a better option, so your damage will be noticeably lower. I also find it annoying to toggle off the homing shots to deal with things like Annihilation orbs. Hitting more shots and more weakspots is always the biggest DPS increase though, so if that's the main concern then Monarch is a great choice.
This is a no nonsense build. Zero room for error. I get the high damage for the 24/7 player but what changes for someone who needs health or runs out of ammunition?
You'll never run out of ammo with Devoured Loop and Gunslinger prime. As for needing more health, this build is kill or be killed like other glass cannon builds. You can trade out the crit rings or even Leaking Gemstone for defensive rings, move traits into Fortify and Barkskin, and wear heavy armor, but in my opinion it's not worth it because you lose a ton of damage and still don't end up that tanky. The setup I showed can survive one hit from weak attacks like Sha'Hala's tail slam, but you aren't surviving anything much stronger without abandoning the build concept entirely and committing to being a tank. I highly recommend checking out Bolt Jamison's tank Engineer build if you want a build that's more forgiving to play. It's a great build and definitely more well-rounded than this one; I put this setup together more for the purpose of highlighting the unique things Corrupted Nebula can do.
That was my first thought as well, but after trying different combinations, Plasma Cutter just felt better. I think shotguns in particular are in a rough spot after all the spread reduction nerfs, since they basically demand 10 points in Handling, the Tranquility Font concoction, the Spread Reduction Fragment, and potentially even a spread reduction ring. The only way to use one without it costing you an arm and a leg is using Hunter's Focus, which I personally do not like playing with. Overall the cost of using them is just too high for my liking at the moment.
@Dainurian I think most of those are things people were running on shotgun builds anyways, the main problem with shotguns is that you now have to choose between Targeting Jewel and worse spread or one of the other spread reduction rings and worse damage fall off, whereas before running all the passive spread reduction stuff and Targeting Jewel turned even Sporebloom into a laser.

Doesn’t matter what you try if you can’t dodge his attacks.
I got over 350h on this game, I even made a couple simple mods, and I still don't know all of these interactions. Fascinating! Can't wait to try it!

@@meathir4921 it counts as ranged damage but not firearm damage from Nebula. So it does not stack Momentum or Onyx Pendulum.

This could be really useful for guns that are bad at building momentum stacks, like sporebloom or a sniper
