    Hello Serena,
I was at Art & Soul 2012 and took two classes from you on Wabi-Sabi and on Encaustic art.
You were a huge inspiration to me. I have been studying Wabi-Sabi philosophy ever since and realized I had unconsciously been living in that way, now I am consciously adding it to my art as well as my life.
I am excited to find you are working with cold wax as I am curious about this medium, and am also wanting to work with encaustic tech. more. I have ordered your book from Amazon and am excited to work with you - even second hand - again.
    Be well!
    Anastasia

Me too...missed the cold wax. Love what you did, but I'm only to cold wax right now.

I was interested in how to combine cold wax and encaustic but you didn't mention cold wax unless you mean you wax cooled off and therefore it was cold wax...wanted the process of cold wax medium!
Wabi sabi is used loosely here!

This is a short section of a video put out by North Light years ago. I have current tutorials in cold wax on my channel, so look for those under my name if you are interested in cold wax.

Can you use an iron to fuse or do you have to use a flame?

Acrylic paint is fine under wax I do it often. Paint into tissue with it and then wax down onto the piece.
