I like how you ignored how every other species refused to deal with her. No one wanted her anyway, but she decided to take it out on humans, after transforming into things that are life-treating to them.
that is exactly how kids are taught hateful concepts, though. kids trust their parents and believe almost anyhting they say, especially when theyre REALLY young. this is one of the movies key messages, how harmful ideologies are taught, you arent born with them. They are taught to you by your parents, peers, guardians, etc.

Nimona must've turned into that shadow monster in her past with gloreth because of what gloreth said she turned into the Monster in the past and Gloreth might still know that Nimona might Come Back,So this is the second time Nimona Turned into This
It makes sense with the scenes playing out in the past, Nimona clearly having PTSD from that moment and yet finds herself pushed enough to return to that form.
Then after all is said and done, all she did was try to walk into the city, clearly intent on impaling herself on the outstretched sword of Gloreth's giant statue.
I just wanted to hug Nimona so much at that point. Happy Ballister stopped her and calm her down.
There's no indicator that she took that form before. I think they exaggerated the story, and Gloreth, so as to make it a story of her fighting off a giant dragon beast. Nothing of that sort was implied in actual footage of Nimona's memory right before she turns. I think she turned into that because that's the last thing she was seen depicted as in the scroll.
The institute was built on lies from the very beginning so any lore that comes from the kingdom must be taken with a pinch of salt. They were using that story to brainwash people into thinking that it's dangerous out there so they would need walls, knights, and the powerful would remain so. To the point where nobody knew the real story, not the queen, not the director, not the knights, only Nimona.
