This is what the history channel should be. High quality history right here. Love this video and the effort made to be in character. This is the history that keeps me warm at night
I’m so glad I found your channel, this is so fascinating! My great grandfather died in WW1 in July 1916 and it’s so sad, but interesting, to learn about how he might have lived out his final days. My youngest son is named after him.
I’m from Tipperary ! Great video, my Grandfather and both his brothers served in WW1, fortunately they all survived. We still have all three of his medals, the Mons Star, Service and Victory.
Currently using this to acquire all the links for my world war one impression.. One of my many references and definetely the most helpful! Great video lads!
wonderful video! im somewhat surprised at the volume of items carried compared to WW2 soldiers, i wonder if that is partially due to advances in packaging.
Are you able to make a video on ww1 or 2 russian soldiers gear? Only you happen to reenact that and have that gear as well. I’m new to this channel and only just discovers these videos so I haven’t seen any yet if you already do
Question the chocolate bar says suitable for drinking? How do you drink a chocolate bar just curios. (Also this is a great underrated video(s) that I use to fall asleep too so thanks for helping an insomniac out! )
@@A_random_nerd Nothing to do with this video but put a bar of you're favourite chocolate and melt it in a saucepan of milk and you get the best hot choc ever 🙌
What the F is an XO cube? C'mon, dude enlighten the uncivilized from across the pond. Anyhow, I love these kit videos. Everything is so neat, and it's packed with "essentials." And you know, once out in the field,.75 % of that stuff is gone. Tea, razor, spoon, mess kit, and foot powder. The rest is clutter.
Why, oh why do some presenters insist on using a hand held camera so they have to struggle with the other hand to demonstrate the subject - ? How much do camera mounts actually cost - ?
Because sometimes that makes it easier for manipulating the camera angle, zooming in and zooming out on different objects, different angles changing the perspective. Using the camera mount or tripod can make it awkward to reach around and can be just as unnatural as manipulating things one-handed. Take it from somebody gets done lots of videos on kits. This channel has some excellent footage and also decent video production on its other presentations. But I actually prefer kit videos being done this way.

My great uncle we called Tipp, as the Tipperary song was his favourite when he was a boy. He was born just before the Great War.

Just found your site, really good.
Nice and informative 👍👍
Are you based around where the Princess own Yorkshire regiment (Green Howards) were from or is this just the selected regiment of choice?
Could you make a ww1 german or austro hungarian version?...I can't find videos about personal item anywhere else
He's stopped posting vids for quite some time now.
Too bad, I enjoyed the few videos posted.
Wonder what happened?
What pipe you got for that leaf?

Dissolved in hot water. Original mexican hot chocolate is done with discs of cacao. Chocolate candy bars just have the milk and sugar already added.
@@alejandrovallejo6763 thanks for the info!

Not sure, but when I do see them using one they usually end up dancing around the damn thing.
