Easily the best detective/whodunit game on the market. I played through it about a year or so ago and I enjoyed every minute of it. I've been holding off on revisiting it again until the full release, so of course I hopped back on a few days ago. It's even better now then it was then.
The problem is that this game is not ready. It had so much potential, but they decided to just release it buggy af and giving just a kidnapping case and an umbrella. It's really sad, everyone who plays sees the unimaginable potential
You hate Early Acces and are happy that they released it in only 1 year and "got to the next game"? Interesting. I feel the opposite, specially in cases such as this one, which leaves a prouct that feels very half baked (to me, obviously). I'd rather wait for them to add more content and fix more bugs or the optimization rather than being fine with them rushing the game out of Early Access and starting to work in other promising projects that would get the same treatment.
If you look on their site they say they’ve fixed the most prominent console bugs and are just waiting for the go ahead from PlayStation to release a patch.
I have a couple of questions because I'm very interested. I love detective driven experiences and noir like games. Is there an endgame, or is it endless in that it procedurally generates cases or just procedurally generates the city? I've seen that there's a lot of bugs and things of that nature, so has a patch been announced, or has it already been put into effect? I appreciate any genuine feedback that you can share.
Its buggy on both consoles. I bought both just to see for myself and yeah it needs a patch. They are working on it from their post to X. The camera bugs are probably the worst ive encountered so far.
I don't pay any attention to what people say on Steam reviews myself. I browsed through a few of the recent ones, and most come down to it not meeting their expectations, which says more about the reviewer then the game itself. I really enjoyed my time with it a year ago. But if you really want to base purchasing decisions on Steam reviews, it has over 10k positive reviews, and less then 2k negative. You could always buy it and try it out during the 2 hour refund window, then you can decide if you want a refund or not.
I think the negative reviews are because the game left early access too early. So people are mad that the game won’t be receiving more content. Maybe mods tho
In the last update the devs posted, they said they would still be adding content after release like new cities, assets, etc., as well as workshop support.
Game still has a lot of bugs that can soft lock your progress. sometimes cases don't resolve even if you have solved them, thus stopping progress. You can get trapped in locations by the shutters and the police won't open them back up. So it is still extremely rough, but when it does work, it is incredibly fun.
@@GamingWithGeo Thanks mate. I'm aware of the 2 hour window and mostly grateful to said benefit. And also grateful that Steam even allows one to weigh views.
I always love detective Game and sadly there is no many of them but I just can get this game due to it's graphics. It might be silly for many but visually if I don't like the game I can't but I'm still pondering if i should buy it or not. this game has all the *** i like , Sci fi, detective but these visual..... (reason why I never played Minecraft)

Will they fix the problems on console?
Pc has had problems for over a year so probably not.

Patch is on the way.
This game rules and just came out on PS5 but sadly it runs like absolute shit and has more bugs and memory leaks than any game I’ve played before
What about PC on steam is it decent there?

@@spectrecommand7 it’s patched now so plays much better and yes 3 present cities that generate cases and then you can generate your own city as well
@@magick7278is it still really buggy or not I was wondering if I should buy it for sale
That Background Music is banger. Is it by any chance from Risk of Rain? I know i heard it before but i not sure from where.
It is
On console it's absolutely broken.
Glad I saw these comments, I was going to get for the PS5. Guess I'll wait!
Fine on console for me
On Xbox too? Cause usually PS5 has the issues
@@hoagiemacintosh781I should've specified, I play on Xbox.

Near 2-1 recently negatively ratioed comments at Steam. I've been anxious to play, yet those comments give me pause.

You are not the only one. Im not to fond of the graphics but it looks interesting
Me too somewhat..
I'm fine with the graphics, but I don't like the characters design being too blocky
Same reason I could never get into borderlands, Cel shaded hurts my head lol
Risk of Rain 2 music is so OP
The Rain Formely Known as Purple has been on heavy rotation for two years now
The game is so unbalanced. Over time i've realized that it's more profitable being a thief rather than solving cases. Not well thought out.
That’s how real life works too
@@mattygee79 but the consecuences are baffling to say the least. All you need to do is leave the building.
@@Chic01taliano I agree just making a joke. I was also hoping for more from 1.0
Can see through walls for no reason. Bar sure is low for 'good games' these days.
the bugs at launch are inexcusable. But that doesn't mean it's not a good game.
