In this Injustice Gods Among Us Video, we talk a bit about the Breakthrough mechanic, and how you can get 2 Gold upgrades every 3 days.
When people in my Twitch chat were talking about getting Silver Breakthrough's, while I did the Bronze upgrade in Patch 2.13's video, it made me wonder if the Cooldown was different from the Tier change.
The Breakthrough event resets at 7pm EST daily.
The BRONZE, SILVER, GOLD, changes at 12AM EST daily.
For example:
Wednesday: 7pm-11:59pm, Bronze
Thursday 12:00am-7pm when the timer resets: Silver
Thursday 7pm-Midnight, Silver
Friday now until 7pm, Gold
Friday 7pm-midnight, Gold
Saturday Midnight-11:59pm, Bronze,
Sunday 12am-11:59pm, Silver,
Sunday 12am-11:59pm, Gold
Using this tactic, you can fully promote 2 Gold cards every 9 days. Currently, there are 89 Gold cards in Injustice, and 2 more characters to be released. If you do the event every 2 days, it will take you 410 Days to promote every Gold card to Elite X, assuming they add NO new cards(Very unlikely they will not, since Injustice is doing better than Mortal Kombat X, despite being over 3 years old)

I have lvl 50 elite VII characters which are eligible but when I tap to create team it doesn't let me proceed to battles?? What's going on

So I promoted dead shot to 8 played again and tried to promote ak bats to 8 and it didn't work, wasting a breakthrough match...is there a reason I couldn't promote ak bats? Do I have to level up dead shot to X before promoting another character?
When I beat this I can promote only darksied and not super man or raven who's that?

Why does it make you promote batman on gold breakthrough? It says must use batman as eligible players and when I win that is the one that I have to promote. Why cant I choose who to promote? Hope they change that!

Currently I have a different event of breakthrough but mine right now is also gold but different event, and my characters are also promotion 7, and level 50

Hey Shono, when doing breakthroughs and deciding which character to promote, promoting a card to the next promotion still costs as much of the card value. Such as Injustice 2 Superman, it costs 491,000 to promote. This doesnt make sense on why they did this
Hey your video talks about tricks and tips. As a player just getting his first characters to elite 7 it would help if you could give some tips on if you’re able to beat it with only one character or if I need multiple. What are some good ways to work through the tough fights with weaker teams and not super OP gear.
Well for breakthrough you can use a single Elite VII, but it does depend on who you are using. Regime Superman might need help whereas a Rebirth Raven would have no issues.

Oh fck! My breakthrough and online battles aren't working. Now I can't promote any of my characters higher than elite 7 or get online rewards. Whenever I enter the two modes it just crashes and puts m back to my homescreen. Does anyone know how to fix this treacherous bug?

i need help in teh gold breakthorugh i have level 50 VII hawkgirl batman arkam orgins and godfall super man but a message keeps showing up saying include only gold characters level 50 and promotion VII or hgher include atleast on eelgible character that has not yet unlocked promotion x

the promotion just lets you buy a copy for promotion. in your case, you can now buy red son superman for promotion to VIII

do you know which characters that aren't able to be promoted with this challenge? I couldn't promote any of the injustice 2 characters. I promoted AK Batman. also, can we promote the new rebirth characters?
HollywoodShono when I finished the challenge it told me pick one of the eligible characters to promote and it didn't let me move the injustice 2 characters only AK Batman which is OK but Superman is my main character. maybe an Android glitch?

Been using red son superman since red son characters released , been augmenting him since survivor released, rn he's level 50 elite 7 with 46k attack and 98k health , can't wait to promote him some More !!!

how the fuck? do you spend actual money to get all that or did you just play constantly for like 10 years? like how did you get all those rare gears?
James Ryder his been playing for a long time but I think he hacked the game because of the rare gears and how quick he got them.
thebest wwe he did it all legit, its not hard to get gears early, just play the challenge online or survivor mode and you'll get them. All you need to do is to put in some effort.
There was no tips and no tricks, you just played long and hard enough to get the most deadliest characters eg injustice 2 superman has over 100k hp, plus i'm assuming you have the best gear maxed out, you managed to get lvl 2 special BEFORE ares Also if you don't tap to get the cursor to the middle its INSTANT death you get zero chances to fix the mistake and you CANNOT replay the ares match
I believe this breakthrough was a stupid idea. very thing was fine the way it was. we needed more new characters not overpowering the same ones

HollywoodShono You can't get Injustice 2 Superman from that pack. I tried 56 times and its kinda like the old challenge booster pack but with some characters gone and Ami Catwoman, Darkseid Apoc r the only new characters appearing in that pack

this breakthrough is bullshit. When it come to the bronze and silver breakthrough it lets you play ANY bronze and silver characters but when it comes to gold breakthrough you have to include 1 'breakthrough eligible' characters and when you beat Ares you can only promote that 'breakthrough eligible' . It ask for a gold Lobo and Im thinking who the fuck wants to promote a shit character like lobo.
