first GGWP :D ty for casting, been enjoying dow cast these days ^^ mostly dow one with unity or apocalyps mods; it does seem like the closest we will get the seeing massive amount off units die, more lore'ish like; and less focus on needing to save every unit (bc they are supposed to die in masses; like space marines are cannon fodder compared to almost every other race; guardsman are just a flesh-wall with flashlights to most enemies hehe ;P ) 5:15 yer it can be a lot when you go in without having a proper campaign introducing things slowly. but i think, as an rts lover that rarely ever play pvp; the main reason people dont play rts pvp much is bc most people don't want to have to fight controls to make their units do what you want them too. sc2 is a good example where apm can be used to scale where in mmr you would be; simply bc the speed off your hands is FAR more important than your understanding off tactics, strategy and proper counters. Dow is a bit different bc armoured take so little dmg from non armour piercing stuff; but as units have very low ai to no ai in rts's; again dow has some off the more advanced where units can actually be told if they need to keep hunting go back after a bit, go into melee or stay range etc; but basic stuff like "fallback when dmg" or "scout this area" etc. simply doesnt exist; and imagine if the tactician had to manually tell every soldier not to put their bullets up their bums and to shoot at the enemy, it would be the dumbest thing; but thats RTS's for you... man there was an old rts called battlecry where the ai was actually extremely good and self-sufficient compared to anything at that time, honestly compared to every rts ever made (you could tell units to scout and they would do so effectively, you could tell them to fall back at low hp, tell them to go on the attack automatically once healed etc. it was kinda cool. but way way old and movement etc. is just well too old :P but DAMN i so badly want an RTS where micro'ing stutter stepping away, micro using abilities, and having to tell your range units to fall back from getting killed in melee etc. isn't the main focus. also resources; apocalyps tyranids and necrons has some cool ideas; but here i really do miss tyranids actually having to get biomass and could reabsorb any tyranid back into a reclaiming pool, as lore state, etc. let it feel like a monster that hunts; which again apocalyps seem to have a consuming thing for them which is kinda cool, but again needless amount off micro to tell your units to "eat".. which is kinda like having to micro manage when your marines need to be to the toilet imho, it should all be automated; also you are controlling an army, not a overview robot system; so units not being able to perfectly time and hit all their things at places they just generally wouldn't is totally fine, imho ;P
Imo, they are like Eldar. If you are a skilled player they kind of are. And 3 Necrons, in late game? Yea, you dead. I mean, that's 3 potential monoliths. Crazy.
If they all rushed t1 units and focused 1 necron at a time they would of won. But tech rushing and letting them build up comfy in their base is a no go imo.
4:00 why would skype not be a thing?` so is ts, so is discord, they are just used for different purposes ^^ discords for random, skype for close friends and ts if you need to do larger organisation type stuff where leaders need to mute when talking and groups need to only hear their own group and leaders etc.
Dawn of war is by far the most comfortable rts ive ever played, if your determined to get into rts i highly reccommend this game

Could have saved the monolith from the knarloc by just moving away, it can't chase anything after a few pariah hits

What does the John Cena beam actually do?
Stops units in its vicinity from being able to make ranged attacks. They can't see farther than melee range hence the "John Cena beam"

Necrons are slow to get going, but once they are established they quickly turn into a steam roller.
I think they are fair since verteran player will kill necrons before late game, so it really depends on the player
