It's organic and pure. It's just the "two of you" with no amplification or production. Your blend is so beautiful, and your musicality and musicianship make this a very special duet. Y'all remind me of a young Alison Krauss and James Taylor. I know you're super busy, but I really hope you can do more of these sessions soon!

What impresses me most about the Petersen is how much control they have. They are all great musicians and singers but they aren't overly flashy or screaming all the time.
It's the difference between being talented and being real pros.
When Emmett lets that dobro rip too loud, I think Katie gets this little angry look and so he knows he'd better tone it down! lol. He's not going to blast it during a duet with her on her own freaking channel! She'd get up and either leave or smack him. LMAO!

Katie is such a ham🥰; she’s romantic in her songs, sweet in her smiling, mischievous in her after-video bloopers, an awesome music leader of those wonderful souls of that band, and she “da man” in her kitchen! What a cool put-together woman she is, unassuming but outstanding fiddle player and singer.....and, Emmet....well, Emmet is Emmet, the masterful dobro player who can bring tears to your eyes with such amazingly touching songs like Moments! What a formidable duo!

OK guys, Katie always smiles as she looks at her siblings. Emmett is like one of the family. Katie may have other type of feelings for Emmett, but maybe she just loves him like a brother. When I'm singing with my family or just my friends, I feel love for those singing with me. Now leave them alone and let them any personal feelings (if any) be announced when they are ready. From a biological view, there is a biological block preventing siblings to fall in love (meaning the crush kind of love) but this block is derived from "they grown together and know each other since childhood." Katie did not know Emmett the sibling way, so that block is not present.

Just sitting here listening to a string of The Petersens videos, while working on my lectures even with online classes canceled all week due to this crazy Texas snow storm leaving many with no power and most of us with rolling blackouts. I love The Petersens band and each of its members, and even though I've heard this video many times, I just had to stop and comment on this gem. What a simple, but beautiful rendition of this song by Katie and Emmett. You guys are really terrific on this one!
