Hello Unbox Maestro, Do you have any updates on your use of the replacement Light 16 Camera? Has performance improved with the last Firmware/Software update “V1.3.4.1 (1341) - May 2019”? What is your 2020 recommendation on the Camera? Thanks for your time.
Now they have a collaboration deal SONY. A very interesting patent for a new type of lens for SONY Alpha camera developed with LIGHT appeared online. Will be interesting to see if it sees the light of day (see what I did there?)
Thank you. I've been doing some portrait photography and the pictures are coming out amazing but the software continues to lagggggggggggggggggggg!!!!!!!!!!! It's making me nuts cuz without the lag it would be my favorite camera.
Dude, looking at those martial arts shots you did, makes me wanna buy this camera. Those shots are friggin' awesome. Are you still recommending that people buy the L16?
I am a good editor as well which helps but this camera gives me a lot of control. I am getting mine replaced because the lag on shoots that go more than an hour of continuous use becomes a problem and they said that's not normal. It seems like for some reason the cameras ram is being used up over time or some other process starts slowing it down when it's running for a long shoot. If this next one has no issue then I comfortably recommend it especially with the sales they have going on randomly. I saw they had 35% off on refurbished ones that were going under $1000. I have done some fashion shoots with it as well that came out amazing to be honest. Outstanding even. The quality and convenience combination is really great on this camera because it's easier to kind of run and gun a photoshoot without heavy gear. Also the lenses are naturally protected which is nice. I can't recommend it fully until I get my replacement and see if the lag is no longer an issue though. That's my only problem right now. They also just released video which is a little jumpy at the moment but shows promise considering you can jump between three lenses. Honestly some things about this camera are better than any other camera i've used while others are just unbearable... it's really a weird kind of situation.
Hey, Great review! How does it work while plugged into a power supply? Does it overheat really bad if using while plugged in? I'm thinking about getting it for a robotic arm rig I'm making out of the Jaco robotic arm [I have a severe physical disability] so I can just leave it plugged into a mobile power hub. I'd really like to see the awesome photos you took closer; do you have them uploaded somewhere? Also, how's it perform with strobe/flash photography?
When plugged in it works perfectly well. The camera got relatively hot even from continuous use but was definitely not that hot when plugged in and charging comparatively. It also never got too hot to feel comfortable in the hand. I will be adding the pictures to my art website ilansart.com but currently it's just my paintings on there. I haven't testing it with flash photography yet but I can't imagine it not performing incredible well in manual mode but not in Auto. It's an interesting for the company though as I wonder how it affects the camera's ability to process all those photos in one.
@@unboxmaestro5321 Awesome, thanks! Nice work up there! Dig the post-impressionism grunge style. Can you drop a reply when you do upload the full-size photos? I'm super curious to see how its computational algorithms have progressed. Exactly, if a series of photos are taken then each side of the bracket would have far different effective exposures and I wonder how it handles the stitching then.
@@Berkeli I don't know about that. The snapdragon should be capable of shooting 4k. I think the issue with the photos is that it's taking 10 in an instant and trying to stitch them and create a 52 megapixel image with post processing depth of field.. It won't have that issue with video since it's doing 1 picture per frame like a traditional DSLR or cinema camera. The processing power for the computational photography is probably more demanding than using one lens at 30 FPS at 4k resolution but only time will tell.
This is an awsome prototype. If they sell their company to apple, we would be able to enjoy an IHole with perfect software and form factor. IHole could blow up the photography maket ))))
If they could put A12 bionic processor and Google's Software along with their AI technologies, this will be the camera of the future. But unfortunately, Google and apple will never do that.
Google makes the photo more pleasing to eyes. The photos from Google are not that natural in terms of lighting which they process as our brains processes which though pleasing is unnatural many a times compaired to light. Another thing ask your self if you like artificially produced AI details or real details captured by many cameras by light to its maximum extent.
There is definitely some lens flaring that occured in outdoor shoots in direct sunlight on certain angles although I noticed that slight changes in the angles completely got rid of it. I wouldn't shoot in bright daylight in auto mode either. The natural settings it went for didn't look as good as when I shot manual and controlled ISO and shutter speed myself. When working the camera in manual the pics came out much better in direct sunlight conditions.
Something that he said about the camera he's like there's issues and lagging with the lenses. And he also said because it's so much lenses it takes a little time for it to load and the pictures it takes a little time to be clear and focus. I believe that it's the lenses is trying to focus and take a picture. Understand I don't really think it's nothing that has to do with the software or or anything like that I think it's the lenses itself because it's too much lenses and the camera is trying to focus. That's my hypothesis I am trying to search for a camera that would take pictures beautifully and the color is is accurate to the real world into the naked eye Etc I don't want washed out the colors or if I'm taking a picture of the beach or Sunset I don't want the ocean to be too blue and to be like a dark blue I want the real ocean blue same with the sunset I don't want a too much of a red for the sky I want just the perfect amount of red like the real red that you see in your eyes. I've been to a couple of websites before like Amazon Walmart Best Buy and a chat agent in Best Buy have told me that there's no such thing as a camera to be 100 to $200 the funny thing is when I've been searching online it was very very difficult when searching online it took me over an hour to find a camera that would be free pictures and approximately as close enough to the real deal to a real camera and those cameras were two types of kodaks and Minolta and the price was under 100 to $200 in Amazon. This camera is the price of those ridiculous overpriced cameras that are over $100 and I will refuse to pay for something like that that's just ridiculous a camera is just a box and glasses that's all what it is there's nothing special about it there's nothing fancy about there's nothing nothing nothing I don't see why you should put that crazy amount of price on a camera. Even if I could afford it or not I will refuse to pay for a camera that price an agent have told me in Best Buy oh no because it has things for the camera and it has to be the expensive because of the business that can't be under 100 to 200 dollars do not say that what the heck do you call iPhone ads on cameras those are cheap. Those are not over $100 do not tell me that thing this camera I see it in Amazon to be the price to $100 to $200 that price range that I would like to buy and that I don't mind it's not overpriced like those ridiculous Sony or Cannon cameras some people are saying that this camera has some issues like it doesn't load to it has bad color several things other people says it's fantastic especially on the reviews on amazon. This guy is talking about the pictures and I'm looking at it there's nothing wrong with the colors I'm not sure what the heck the people in TH-cam is talking about these are beautiful this is all better than a smartphone and for a camera I would like to improve on and take better pictures from a smartphone to the real deal to the real camera but without that ridiculous overpriced price tag of the camera higher than $100. If anybody knows a camera that will be under 100 to $200 I would really really really really appreciate it and you could tell me I recommendation and suggestion of the camera that would be that price brand new please not used. And the cameras that I've seen that looks gorgeous and it matches to the real deal and looks a lot better than the photography for my smartphone is two kodaks and one Minolta. Now that camera is the real deal it has bokeh it has image stabilization microshot it has the features of the real deal of the real camera. And some people are saying that this camera has a lot of issues for me I don't really mind the issues because I'm just taking pictures I just want a camera to be improved on a smartphone and take better pictures and smartphone so I don't really mind I'm just taking pictures so I don't really care the Minolta the camera I'm trying to look for a camera that does not have an app but the funny thing about the camera is it does have an app but I'm having a hard time on finding the app for the camera. On the Play Store for Android I'm not sure if it's discontinued or I'm not searching hard enough I also have tried to search for the website to email them to see if I can use the camera without the app I can't find the camera from my research according to the website I guess it has this continued there's another type of website that is in New York I've tried emailing them messaging them I cannot find a way to talk to them there's no way I don't know what to do. And the camera is for sale in Amazon and that's the only place that is for sale and a camera that will be new that is under 100 to 200 dollars same with the couple of quarters that I have seen I don't want a body to look like the Samsung wb350f camera if it's that type of body then it's going to take pictures like a smartphone and I don't want that I want optical zoom and the body of those fancy Optical like real glass I want real glass I have to go like Canon and the Nikon d5600 DX format so a camera that has that body cameras that has those attachable lenses that you can take off and put back on if you will but again I would like a camera to be under 100 to 200 dollars obviously the camera the D5 600dx format digital camera is digital but I was saying like the body but Optical if possible please if anybody knows like any recommendation and suggestion I would really really appreciate.
I usually do not press like buttons on TH-cam. I did it today cuz I just want u to know u deserve it and keep trying to get followers. Do not give up!

wouldn't i be able to self-make some extension piece/grip? shouldn't be that difficult :)
The android system is crap the shouldnt use it on everything
Awsome vid :)
I am actually getting mine replaced out to see if the lag get's fixed. Hoping it works better.

Nice review. Does it record video yet?
Not yet but due to come out soon 4k video with three lenses 28, 75, 150 as far as I know.
@@unboxmaestro5321 it's never going to record decent 4k with a snapdragon 820. it can barely take pictures
