Black Film Guild no it was the dude sold the cartoon and they wanted 1 a week and he said he couldn't do it so they fired him and that started the legal battle end the eventual end. The last season was way off.
Black Film Guild Rodney Barnes, the writer who did a lot of shows and took over bulk of writing for season 4, thought it more funny to put them in a situation like the TV show 'Good Times'... which is not only fucking dated, but takes away from true premise. The whole fish out of water scenario. "Ghetto" city family, (w/$$) living out in the 'burbs (boondocks)
