      zekerah I washed my hair and little bits of hair came out. I then put this conditioner and washed it leaving bits of conditioner still in it to brush it. To finish it I put some moisturiser foam and normal moisturiser to make it soft and shiny. Am I doing it right?

    I like what you said about the myths of black women hair ... Its so sad, but I think we have bought into it at some point because it was so rare to see black women with long hair back in the 80' and 90'...I grew up in the generation praised perms and it was the thing to do...I was the perm queen, but getting rid of the " perm" was the best thing I did for myself... my hair began to grow and grow and grow and I never knew it could grow so long.. So thank you for speaking truth...

    • @jc_80
      @jc_80 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kaykay my hair grows whether it’s straight texturised or natural it’s healthier and easier to manage at mid length, even at a bob length people ask me have I put pieces in my hair and check for tracks because I dye it jet black and that colour enhances the shine and condition of my hair, for me doesn’t matter about the length if you look after your hair and it looks good people will always question if your hair is real i find it funny how hair is worshipped

    I recently done the big chop and it was such a struggle coping with the length, but I needed to do it in a sense...
    I had too much damage from texturisers (even though my hair is naturally curly🤷🏾‍♀️😭worst mistake ever) as well as straightening, when I was washing my hair, all I could focus on was the new growth and the damaged hair.
    It bugged me sooo much looking at the 2 different textures at the time, but I'm so much happier now that I've cut all the damaged hair off because now I feel like a new girl lool, and honestly my hair is in such better condition ofc and is growing rapidlyyy than before when I would give myself lil trims.
    Anyways, I loved this video you're such an inspiration, and your hairrr😍 I'm only 16 and I'm so happy that yt has helped me to manage with my natural hair!
    Thank you Zekerah😭💕

      Same. I hate when people are like your hair is so short. Like I already know. It’s not even that short I just have bad skrinage. But if I stretch my hair it’s like collarbone length.

      Salimath Drammeh - a REAL friend would never try to make her best friend feel insecure about anything. Besides, what else is she willing to do at your expense to feel superior?
      At some point in everyone's life we must evaluate and prune away some "friendships" or anyone else who isn't sincere, loving and kind to us.

    For anyone growing out their hair, makes sure you trim your ends if they are damage. Because if you don't your hair won't grow longer, better to have shoulder length healthy hair than long damaged hair.

    Honestly I hate gel, I always have, and when ECO Styler came out I felt like it was all the same. Eww, yucky crunchy gel. My goals is to make my hair so soft and moist that my husband says "oooohhh what's that?" and wants to do a little more than stroke it-not "Eww, what's that?" and then completely avoid touching it. I don't even use it to smooth down my edges. All I use is edge control, and even very little of that!

    • @blackvelvetno1
      @blackvelvetno1 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Shakana Allen I love eco styler for my edges. But the key is to put castor oil on your hair first. Laid with no crunch!

  • @noregregts_jay8582
    @noregregts_jay8582 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1
