    the trauma from preparing and taking the dat is so real. its actually mentally taxing and ive had the same experiences as simran and brian. I wish bootcamp would have a section on tips or practices to stay collected!

      I think I might make a video on that because the mental toll it takes on you is half the battle

      Attending therapy through the entirety of my undergraduate years helped me so much. Being pre-dental is mentally taxing and really challenges your confidence.

    Hi guys! I watched the first half of this a few weeks back and my DAT is in a few days and I just finished it and it made me feel SO much better. Thank you for posting this!!!

    Great study tips for students of any age. Start young! FYI-Brian's parents actually named him BRAIN when he was born, but the county misspelled it as BRIAN on his birth certificate. (Family secrets revealed by Aunt Kristi.😉😉 JK) Love you Brian! Way to go!!! Congratulations!

    29 on 6 weeks of studying what in the hell?! That’s incredible I guess you only need a short time of pure dedication 2 months max?

    As a person who will take the DAT in ~2months, I understood if I have a time machine, I should go back in time and be a tutor for gen chem and ochem possibly, keep more of my notes from school (kept some already actually), and also start studying for the DAT earlier to follow Ari's schedule. Now: just buy bootcamp and hope my education is just playing hide and seek. LOL Thanks for the content!

    I’m a senior and until now I’m hearing all the rage on boot camp. So when I was a junior I got iprep and destroyer because iprep was all I ever heard of

    This was an amazing video! I have a question what year in college do people usually take the DAT? I am a freshman in college so am just trying to figure everything out.

    • @DrSimranSinghDDS
      @DrSimranSinghDDS  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would highly recommend taking it after your sophomore year during the summer. It would save you a lot of stress not having to worry about it on top of applying/classes

    • @brianmerrill5586
      @brianmerrill5586 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I took it after my junior year and having knowledge from my classes reduced the amount I had to straight up learn while studying, but Simran's advice about not having to worry about it on top of applying could be super nice. I know it wore me out to try and apply right after going through the whole process of studying for and taking the DAT, but if you allocate enough time to do it will work for you. :)

      I shadowed an oral surgeon from Utah that attended BYU for undergrad and went to Harvard for dental school. I don't know for sure if he's Mormon or not, but that guy is very intelligent.
