    I have my own personal experiences with these type of cops. One of them happened at my university school. I actually typed a word document and I have it saved. In Winter 2018, during my final semester, a black campus police stopped me when I was walking into the building. He did not believe I was a student there. There was a security guard sitting in another truck watching the entire thing. No one else was around because it was a Sunday. He asked to see my ID and checked it with a man on his walky-talky. I told him I had been a student here for four years, and he can go inside and ask anyone, because almost everyone in the building knew me, or has heard of me by reputation. I had never seen that black cop before though. After the guy told him I was clear and I checked out clean, he looked to the side in disappointment because he could not find anything on me. Let me tell you something. When I say disappointed, I mean he had the most disappointed expression I have ever seen. He looked to the side and up in the air, and made a deep breath and sigh. I stood there smirking at his face.
    I was going to pull out my phone and start recording, but it was already too late and I did not want him pulling his gun on me for no reason. There is a white female teacher I would talk to frequently in her office about school and life. She would tell me about changes coming to school before anyone else. She is a design teacher at the school and she is cool. I am not putting her name out there. I told her what happened and she said I should have reported him to the sergeant. The black cops can actually be more r*cist. It is as though they have a point to prove to their bosses and fit in with the system. Most people don't realize it. This same cop was watching me at graduation when everyone was taking pictures and saying goodbye. I should make a video on it and send it to the school. I did not report him at the time because I was thinking in my mind, "I am going to graduate in two or three months, and I will never have to see him again." So I left it alone.
    As for my document, this is what I typed: "7-29-2018
    *I was walking into the ATEC building and the black police officer outside of ATEC was waiting and stepped out of his blue squad car. He asked me for my ID and I pulled it out and gave it to him. He asked why I did not have a Comet Card. I said I have never needed one. He said he goes around and checks 'random' people because he has the right to on campus. When I said I don’t have a comet card, he said, 'Don’t you think that is a little… STRANGE?' I responded by saying 'No.' He said, 'It’s not because you’re black.' He said he has never seen me on campus, and I told him I have been going to ATEC at UTD since Fall 2014. He asked if I have seen him before and I said yes. He respond, 'And you never came to speak to me?' in an attempt to be funny. He also asked after that, 'You don’t like to talk to police?' I just sort of threw my arms up in a sarcastic way thinking, ['you wonder why']. He ends the discussion by saying, 'I know your last name is Po++cy and I know where you live.' As though he was trying to prove a point as usual. Does he stop visitors everyday as well? I think he only came to me because he has seen me before. Most of ATEC knows who I am."*
    That was my encounter with that campus cop. He wanted to find something negative about me so bad. It was like talking to a demon. There was no one else around. It was only me, him, and the other white security guard who watched it all. I highly doubt he had a body camera on him. I wonder if any other students had issues with him. This was at the University of Texas at Dallas. It is at least 98% Indian and Asian population at the school. Only ATEC had different ethnic groups of students. He decided to pick out the one dark skin black guy walking into the building on a Sunday. There was nothing else I could do in the moment other than use my Aizen Sousuke tricks on him. The one time my phone was not in my pocket was that day. I could not reach in my bag because he would have used it an excuse to pull out his gun. I smirked in his face like Vegeta and Broly the entire time.

      would've thought in both situations that the cops would've called the station and ask if a car matching the description or the license plate had been reported stolen or would check to see who the car was registered to and called them to ask if they knew where their car was before arresting anyone for stealing it. I mean, isn't it common sense to check if a car is stolen before convicting someone of theft?

    Despite what happened here, I'm actually very happy with the situation that happened. What I mean by that is that when officer Riley tried to excuse himself saying that there was a number Victor could call if they had a complaint, once Victor told Riley that he was personally a friend of the chief of police, Riley backed down. The fact that Riley was only nervous after Victor revealed that he personally knew chief Thomas shows that cops like that too often get away with stunts like that and it's through things like "complaint calls" that get ignored is what really agrivates me. And I'm personally even more happy that at the very least officer Riley backed down, because I've also heard of some cops when backed into a corner like that that get even more aggressive and even threaten the very innocent citizens that they wrongly accused and are supposed to protect in order to silence them so they can cover for themselves.

      For a Bad Cop, “Looks Suspicious” means they think All Black People are suspicious & criminals. No, that cop wouldn’t let Booker quantify his reasons, cause that cop was busy prosecuting him for being black. Driving a car is not suspicious, when a bad cop sees a Black Person driving a car they consider it suspicious, if they live in a neighborhood where there’s rarely black people around, or they’re just plain racist😒. If Booker’s grandpa hadn’t stepped in, Booker would’ve been taken to prison, to suffer consequences that he didn’t make. Every Black friend I have has been pulled over by the police at some point. Even a friend who doesn't drive but rides his bike all over L.A. Got pulled over when he was riding through a wealthy neighborhood in Beverly Hills for "looking suspicious." ON HIS BIKE.

    Can't believe how big that boy has gotten. So quickly. It was just like he was a little kid on this show.

    U know, they could’ve included a scene where Booker calls his sister Nia and tells her what happened to him and they could’ve been a sibling moment

    Something to note, my dad is a police officer. A detective for SVU. And stuff like this infuriates him. It’s stuff like this that makes good cops thrown in with the bad cops, the stupid cops, the ones who are just on power trips of hatred. My dad, who is Hispanic as am I, tries his hardest to do what’s right and help people. We need to call out the cops who do this all the time, but we can’t rip apart the good ones along with the bad, or else things could get worse.

    • @ArtsyFoxo
      @ArtsyFoxo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Until the "good cops" en masse go and actually deal with cops like this. They'll stop getting dragged in with the rest of them. But history, visual proof, documented proof has shown that cops continue to get away with this and worse and have not planned on stopping or changing their behavior unless forced.
      On top of that, the system is so incredibly corrupt that when a good cop actually tries to do something legitimately good. Or legitimately try to point out and report something wrong / illegal that their colleagues are doing. They end up dead, arrested, or out of the force. All by the hands of their "brothers in blue".
      As a kid I remember when cops didn't have body cams. And the VICIOUS anger and negative reaction to that legislation by the cops. If I'm being genuinely honest, given the history of cops, given all the proof. The probable percentage of legit good cops is probably at 30%.

    Even though I'm a white bloke from Australia I hate that racism is still happening to everyone. The system is broken and needs to change. Otherwise if this keeps happening, racism will get even worse.

    I’m upset that I don’t have cable anymore, cause I definitely would go back to watching raven’s home, and this definitely is really touching I’m African-American myself heck I’m literally 14 and this really got me cause of the world we leave in, a tragic world where some people in life are just racist, like George Floyd gotten killed by a cop and the cop was nothing and just pretend that nothing’s happening, I just can’t believe these things happen in life
