That's ghetto? Idon't see homeless tents. I don't see abandoned buildings with graffiti. I don't see homeless or panhandlers roaming around. The streets are pretty clean compare to other cities. I don't see old abandoned cars on the side streets. I think Providence is pretty descent.
Providence is what I’d say “it’s aight” the things you mentioned about what don’t happen, happen here. Trust me there’s crackheads everywhere, heavy traffic areas, down near the Cranston bridge also got some big ass homeless tents and shit.
@@datrundown7644 lmao like everywhere . This isn’t even dangerous . Danger is not being able to walk outside bc of the fear of something happening to you everyday. That’s not a thing here
This is hardly the ghetto, bro. Worst Hoods USA only covered a few blocks close to downtown driving around. For ghetto see: Olneyville: Putnam St area, Manton, Hartford area. Lower south providence. Some of Washington Park, and little Smith Hill. Charles definately. Then drive out to Mineral Springs Ave towards Pawtucket and do a circle around there and catch a few Central Falls shots. South side is not too bad. Maybe some Elmwood parts are ghetto, and Dexter towards Potters Ave on South/West side. Look for ghetto there. WHU is First going on Washington St and Winter St near Classical high school. West Side. 0:55 WHU is going from upper South Prov towards downtown via Elmwood Ave/Broad, but turned on Pearl Ave. Then R going back towards Broad. 4:15 turns right on Broad back towards teh same spot as above. 5:24 Bridgham St. towards West side. Then Broadway/Atwells west side area towards downtown. 9:04 Is the same Elmwood Ave just earlier as the part was shown earlier. Video could've been edited better. Summer time in Rhode Island is great!
lmao "worst hoods." i live like two seconds away from the area that's filmed here and it DEFINITELY isn't the worst. i grew up between split between this area and NYC and trust me.. it's fine. there's violence like any other city but for the most part, it's limited to people who know each other acting crazy amongst themselves. for a while years ago i lived on glenham and the ONLY real complaint i had was the noise. it's loud af on broad st- dudes standing around with their car doors open, blasting music for a 2-mile radius to hear. lol i walk around all the time to get lunch, etc and i've never been bothered. HOWEVER.. head toward manton or the west end and things get a little more dangerous. not terribly so, (even places like chad brown have cleaned up) but not somewhere i'd walk alone at night.
I live there. He’s next to broad st, behind citizens. It’s all gentrified on that street, with CrossFit joints every other building. Go further down broad or Manton Ave at night and it will look more “ghetto”.
Truth be told Rhode Island has NO ghettos, yes there are some areas a lil rougher than others but compared to a place like Detroit or metro dc Providence looks like a golf resort. There was a time when it was pretty bad but those days are long gone and even back then we were still safer than other large cities
ur tripping I live in Atlanta now and I've lived in DC. RI has ghettos. Don't mislead people by saying that. It might not be homicide crazy, but "ghetto" as in poor, impoverished, and typically urban- RI has plenty of that.
@@bryanriley8864 u don't gotta avoid anything. Just treat it same way you'd treat any other city. I just feel like what he said was wrong and ignorant. When I lived in DC I stayed off Connecticut Ave at an extended stay but I traveled all throughout that city.
Just moved here from Colorado. Living in north providence. Lil crime lately but Denver was terrible. Not many people from here believe it. In the last few years Denver became dangerous just walking around. In Providence RI i feel that the regular people here seem alot more trustworthy. I mean a very nice bicycle has just been laying down outside by the bus stop for a week and nobody stole it. Im kinda amazed. Most towns I've been to it wouldn't last five minutes.😂 Its kinda hard to get used to. We have many people coming through i think. The weather is about change and that's always pleasant. ❤
I noticed everyone says same thing about different ghettos and hood. Like it looks clean, such and suck looks worst. Dont mean they not the hood. Hoods are different in every area state
Classical High School (a Providence Public School not private or charter) is continuously is one of the top performing high schools in the ENTIRE country and it happens to be in the “hood” across from the Burger King off Broad Street. This is not Ghetto bro. Just saying.
Have you ever done a drive thru of Providence near the Cranston line in an area called Washington Park. It is located on the lower end of Broad Street and Eddy Streets with street named after some states and Narragansett Boulevard aka lower Allens Avenue.
Hows the relationship between Blacks and Hispanics and whytes in Providence? Alot of interracial dating in Providence? Is Providence a r@cist place for Blacks?
Cause RI is so small. Obviously Cali, NY and others are much worse. The reason why the RI ghetto's were not that bad in the past was because the New England mafia ( Patriarca crime family) had a tight grip on everything. During the 50's up until the late 80's, the inner city streets weren't that bad. It became bad in the 90's. Not to say crime wasn't happening, cause it was.
I spend many hours driving through South Providence when I was strung out in the 80's. They fixed it up alot since those dark days.
When i visit Providence from Boston I always see it as nice and quiet, laid back, i never feel stressed in Providence

Thats because Providence is a ghost town, people there are lazy. They'll drive across the street instead of walking.
