Stevie is wrong. Real did not just throw a corner into the box and hoped for the best. Toni Freaking Kroos is a pass master, and he actually found someone on 4 occasions, which went wide or over the top. Then he found Carvajal for a goal. Toni Kroos is not a hopeful cross player, he is a go into place and I will find you player. To me, the difference was Toni Kroos. It was a fair game and unfortunately, Kroos did not take a corner for Dortmund lol

1st half Madrid were playing open game and it was causing them problems whenever they lost ball. Second half they played counter attack football and instead it was dortmund in trouble when they lost ball. The difference is Madrid is clinical with their finish. Vini doesn’t miss from an open position .

For 45 minutes of the game, Borussia Dortmund were the better team they moved the ball very well they looked threatening every time they went forward and created clear cut chances, but at the end of the day they didn’t take them and you can’t do that whenever you play against Real Madrid in the champions league particularly in the final. No one is surprised that they won the game they always find a way to do so and that’s because they know that in these situations whenever they get outplayed by a team and they’re unable to take their advantages away they’ll get punished. In the 2nd half we saw a better version of Real Madrid and while they weren’t at their vintage best, they showcased their European pedigree and winning mentality once again and that’s just football for you. Borussia Dortmund tried their best and it was impressive on how far that they got in this competition, but Real Madrid are the kings of Europe and I don’t see any signs of their love affair for the champions league ending anytime soon.

1st half both times tried to impose their will on the game … Dortmund was the better sharper quicker team in the first half in the second it was even big Madrid showed experience to come out with a set piece goal (carvajal had a similar header earlier that went high) let’s not discount the greats of the game coming up clutch in moments where it was needed

When I see Real Madrid with their minimalism and general lack of creativity - winning these finals with a little spurt here & a set- piece corner there, it makes me feel incredibly frustrated with Manchester City; Guardiola with his team should dominating this competition and he simply hasn’t. We should expect more, especially as they butchered this Real Madrid side 4-0 in 22/23. Guardiola cannot keep falling short of Ancelotti at this level.
