bruh i absolutely love these from scratch series and seeing someone do it for the "first" time being you came from console is amazing, love it man, keep it up
Your gameplay style is great, sometimes i wish i could play like that. Whenever I play a video game i'm looking up guides how to progress as fast as possible, how to optimize everything but you're just going at your own pace, learning as you go and enjoying the progression, that's awesome 👍👍
Great vid Pat! I just did this on my fresh start but I needed multiple characters to do it namely a monk with decent aura stats and a series ev along with my squire this is not an easy survival by any means so you got pretty far imo! Time to rock magus quarters!
I just found your vids shortly after getting back into the game here recently and seeing that you're lvling other characters on the side I just wanted to make sure you knew the simple trick of plugging in a controller. You can simply have the afk controller plugged in while you do your thing and they'll get exp too. Hope this helps ease some of the grinding for you. And btw, I'm loving seeing a fresher start of the game. I play the Redux version and I'm not max lvl, but man does it get hectic sometimes. It's nice seeing a more chill pace.
Easy Deeperwell is way more rewarding then magus by far because of Nessie, but can't stop you from doing you're favorite map ^^ Pro tip: Ditch the slice n Dice towers for walls/bouncers and more harpoons. They just cost too much DU.
interestingly enough, from my own personal discovery (in a personalized playthrough i did to try and re-experience the console version using various limitations to get it as close to console as possible) when doing deeper well survival i noticed its far harder than many survivals after it (up until like way later, i think around the rooftop maps, like ramparts amd whatnot is when deeper well is dethroned), at least in terms of mob scaling, and i think the reason for this is the unique reward you get from wave 25, idk if thats the exact reason but its interesting to note
It would be worth using the summoner archers as your walls! You just stack them side by side so mobs cant walk through them. With mage minon to heal them and a spider to debuff its great! And youd be able to take the points you put into tower health on your squire and move them to damage
You're Right About Only Starting At Wave 8 Max On Xbox, But Mana Doesn't Scale On It, Doesn't Matter What Wave, The Chests Will Only Give 40 Each, Making Starting On 8 On Higher Difficulties Impossible.
idk if someone has told you already but deeper well on easy is the only map / difficulty that wont give you the giraffe on a treadmill but it does give you an incredibly overpowered pet which imo is actually too strong for the effort lol

Trying to comment on as many of these as I can because you deserve the support for how good they are
Really honored you feel that way

Don't need a controller. The game has a built in emulator now.

Honestly, my favorite dungeon defenders game.

Reflect beams and buff beams from an EV would help a lot too!
nice try hopefully you get The Giraffe on Treadmill next episode

It was still only 25 on consoles. Going for a giraffe at lvl 50 is insane lmao
