Dude great build I love doing medieval builds and that wall is actually pretty good. Not really a critique but and idea to add leaves or some kind of foliage on the wall.

A wonderful start. If I might suggest something, you might want to experiment with not having the houses on a grid (read they should be in a small angled position to the wall and each other - so there is a sense of realism.

I'm kind of working on a build of sorts, currently, I got the parts, its just a matter of getting in the mood and moving some stuff around, for mine, I'm using the Lion Knights castle, the town, also got a bunch of mini kits produced by a ebay seller in the form of market stands to form a market, I do plan to put the Black smith kit into this and then using the old Lion Knight castle from a few years ago to be the surounding walls, while elsewhere I'm going to have setup another castle made from the 3 in 1 kits plus the resent D&D set to be a base for the Black Falcons and in my head, they serve the Lion Knights but their duty is to ensure that the dungeon is kept safe but its kind of on hold as I got other things on my mind, but I hope to complete the basic setup early next month and then at some point order titles for roads and stuff and then add in the mini figures, the setup for the town will be on a coffee table that I keep in my bedroom while the D&D set with the 3 in 1 is upon a wooden board that covers some plastic storage boxes, its a work in process, right now!

Awesome MOC! I really love that archer in the stump with the earth blue hood, where did you get that??
Also, I can’t stand when my mounted shields spin on the wall so I started using a flat round 1x1 with a hole to keep them in place.
My vote is for “The Bat-le axe” 😅 keep up the good work brother!

Am loving this, a big fan of castles and castle MOC's.
I think it might help to look at some reference material, city walls were defintely a thing, but they would often have big gatehouses, run by one of the guilds.
Inside the city wall would be quite tight on space, with buildings up against the walls, shops fronting the road and lanes etc. York and Chester are famous examples
