Glad to hear you are on the mend. Been looking at Mustang videos as I recently found out my great Uncles 1964 1/2 that has not run since 1992 is up for sale. Long story short another great nephew on the other side of the family has had it since he died in 1990. Recently met them through work and I plan to go look at the car soon to see about buying it. It hasn't run for almost 32 years. Sounds like he is not very mechanical inclinded since he parked it when a battery terminal was eaten up from a battery leak. Also I have not used the tool but heard rave reviews on both the Eastwood and Harbor Freight surface refinishing tool you know the one with the barrel like drum on it. Great for working on cars and other things.
Doors skins is the way to go. You will spend a lifetime trying to get the current junk straight. Door skins are very easy to do and cheap....watch some vids on how to swap a skin. Good luck w the new bronco...you will love it!
I have pre cancer (don’t remember the medical term) spots on my hand. Appointment in January for that. I’ve had them removed previously. Best of luck. I have to replace my muffler on my ‘65 Mustang. Among other things.
Hey, wish the best for your recovery! I’ve just finished watching the 13 available parts and learned a lot! I’m from Brazil and have a 65 fastback here. you can’t imagine how hard it is to find parts 🥵 anything I need it’s necessary to import, wait long time and pay a lot of taxes 😮💨 But the car is beautiful and running smoothly! Hope you get there soon !! Best wishes and waiting new videos !
Glad your surgery went well, you are getting to the most rewarding and frustrating part of the restoration. Plan out the steps to success and you will get there, best of luck!
Just did the exact same thing with the same springs. My car had a bit of a natural drop due to the age of the original leaf springs. The new leaf springs with the 1" drop ended up being a net of about a half inch drop with the strength of the new springs. It rides amazingly. Good luck with everything. Looking forward to the new build. Hope you continue to have good health.
I was wondering about your videos so man I hope you are ok and stay healthy ! Your channel for this mustang is the only one I really watch and kept up with so stay Kool and get health to finish and more ahead !
Glad to hear you're doing well. I just picked up a 65 Mustang project car this past weekend. I'm so excited to get started on this. It's a barn find and has NO rust on it, previous owner did all the rotisserie work and wire wheeled all the surface rust off and coated everything inside, underside, and outside. It's completely disassembled!
I’m happy to hear that you are on the mend. I really appreciate your videos it’s inspiring me to start my own I think. I have a couple project cars too, both mustangs.
Take good care and heal up! Curious about the second project. It’s kind of fun to have two going at once. We have our 68 Mustang and a classic Mini. I can work on one while waiting on stuff for the other.
I'm glad you are feeling better and the surgery went well! You gave a hint on the new project being in the same family as the Mustang. So I will guess either Mercury Cougar or Ford Falcon.
you're an inspiration to me and me fixing up my 69 mustang. I watch your videos for an idea how to work on mine and I love it. Also I hope you get well soon and my guess for the next project is a bronco lol
hope all is well and you have a better recovery now the infection is gone. why are you not going to try and put a new door skin on? there is a point in which the hours put in to trying to fix the door will still not be able to achieve the same results and could still end up with more body filler than is recommended.
Love your videos👌
Thanks!

Much appreciated
Get well soon, love your work!
Best of luck with those front leaf spring bolts.
Thanks, I'm just going to just them out with a saws all.
@@VanHoutenBuilds Yes agree. They can be a challenge if you are trying to save the bolts.
Get well! God bless.
Wishing you good health and happy holidays!

I LOVE old minis! I really want to restore one, one day. It’s on the top of my list. Yeah I’m really looking forward to the new project!
Hope the docs got all the skin cancer and you stay healthy and safe!! Keep up the good work on the Mustang my frynd!!
Thank you so much!
Really considering buying a 65 and making it my projects after watching your videos.
Do it! Just make sure to do a ton of research beforehand and also look for the best deal possible. Thanks for the support!
Get well soon mate love your vlogs ❤
Thanks so much!

Look at the blacked out icon on the bottom left of the video thumbnail for a hint!
Bronco maybe?

Thanks! Yeah I may just weld on a new door skin, it’s sounds much easier than trying to hammer it out
The wait is killing me! 😢
It’s a cougar? Or galaxy
Bottom left of the video thumbnail will give you a hint!
A true car guy buys another car before the current car is finished 🙂
A hobbyist does that. Mechanics who do it from 8-5 Monday through Friday won’t touch a car outside of work.
😂👌🏼
Hope you recovering well.
You are doing an amazing job with the car, roughly how much have you spent so far in new parts?
Thank you! I've roughly spent around $3500 - $4000 on new parts. The most expensive being the disc brakes which were around $900.
That’s quite good, nice I just got more motivated to do it now 😅
what type of paint removal wheels did you use to take the paint off the body?
I'm using fiber wheels/discs and nylon wheels. They take off the paint well without ruining the metal like a wire wheel tends to more easily do.
Amazing...thank you!
