- Hey, Adrian! How to convert a vertical video to a landscape video in Capcut? Easy, let me show you how! ...adrianvideoimage.blogspot.com...
Open Capcut and start a New Project. Select the vertical video and tap on Add. By default, Capcut will format the entire video based on the first clip you select. Go to the main toolbar and select Format. Choose 16 by 9 for landscape. The vertical video will now fit into a landscape format with two black areas on the sides. Go to the main toolbar again and select Canvas. Select Blur and choose the extreme blur. The black areas will now be filled up with the blurred version of the same video. Sometimes, I like to enlarge the vertical video a little bit to crop off the top and bottom if they are not important.
So that's my answer to a very popular question.

Want to convert from landscape to portrait
Question…I know linking your saves sounds from tiktok to capcut doesn’t always link. A way around is extracting the sound from another video. But, won’t that give copyright issues? Or a “removed sound” down the line??
I guess you are using an iPhone? If so there is way.
Adrian this does not solve the problem,,, it's accidentally i hv taken the video in vertical now not able to convert them to landscape.. no way
I did this for TH-cam... although the video itself was in landscape, it kept it in potrait with black bars around it when I uploaded it. Do you know how to fix this?
If you are uploading to youtube shorts it will be in a vertical orientation. If you are posting the video to the regular video section, then it will remain as a horizontal video.
Thank you 😊
You're welcome
