The Overworld theme still brings a tear to my eye. (I first Super Mario Bros. when I was 5. My sister would kick me off due to my constant sobbing) I wasn't scared or sad. It was just....too beautiful. :*)

Super Mario Bros. is the equivalent to the big bang of our gaming universe. If it were not for this blindingly spectacular creation, digital entertainment as we know it today would not exist.

Mario is a 35 year old plumber who lives in manhattan and has hallucinations about mushroom people and his girlfriend which he doesn't have being a princess as well as the fact that he thinks he sees a giant bipedal fire breathing turtle named Bowser with spikes on his shell that he kills constantly but always comes back... and I love him for that. Happy 35th birthday Mario. I hope you live on forever
