    We spend good money on a great matters cover, it's water proof and it doesn't have like that plastic feel to it. It won't grow mold or mildew it's like bed bug tick lice repellent we got it at Walmart for like 70 maybe 80 but it's a pain to put on it goes over your whole mattress and then zips up so it protects 360.

    If you have a rug shampooer or are renting one, like a Rug Doctor for 24 hours, just use the little hand-held attachment that comes with it for doing the upholstery in your car. It'll do all this plus remove sweat and accident stains from your mattress and make it look brand new. The suction device on it sucks up the spray solution and makes it feel almost hand-dry, but of course put a portable fan on it, or the ceiling fan, for 8 hrs to completely dry the mattress.

    Many years ago we got a new kitten and a horrific whole house flea infestation 😫. I was about to call in professionals 💲🤑 when I found out about using 20 Mile Team Borax and diatomaceous earth. Used Borax on the floors/carpets and DE on furniture and beds. Fleas gone!! Baking soda might have worked on the fleas on mattress, but I didn't want to do the work twice so went with DE. I still use it and just sprinkle a little on mattress and leave it to take care of dust mites etc.

      Hello! Thank you. You would need a way to get the product up and off the mattress....

    • @natthebratster
      @natthebratster 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For us old folks who remember our grandparents doing this without products: (and I've done this as well) . On a lovely summer day you can sprinkle baking soda or Diatomaceous Earth onto your mattress flip it over and do the same. Then take it outside and let the sun work it's magic on one side for a few hours then turn it over repeat. Some folks would beat the mattress with a broom. You can get one of those inexpensive hand brush with a dust pan combos (that's what I used) to get the majority of the product off the mattress. This should be done anyway even if someone is going to vacuum so they don't ruin their machine.

    Hey girl! Thanks for the awesome cleaning hack videos! I’m just wondering, as I’ve not seen anyone ask about this yet.. won’t the baking soda ruin your vacuum cleaner? I mean... I’ve heard that sucking up baking soda with your vacuum, like those carpet deodorizer type, that you sprinkle on and vacuum up? I’ve heard from several people that they actually are horrible for your vacuum cleaner and will lessen the life of it. My boyfriend always says those companies who make those products are in “cahoots” with the vacuum companies... so we have to buy a new vacuum, sooner than we would if we didn’t use that product with them. I guess it’s something about the very fine sticky type consistency of the baking soda, which will completely destroy the motor of your vacuum. He could be wrong, but I am wondering if you have heard of this as well, or if you know the validity of the statement? Thanks so much!

    • @AndreaJean
      @AndreaJean  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2
