My favorite genre is pop music and personally, Big Energy sounds more pop than Super Freaky Girl. Latto is brilliant in that song and it has crossed over completely to pop. I also really love Nicki because she is different, intricate, and extremely talented (she's a really great singer and rapper)! I would love for Nicki to win Best Rap category for those reasons and because Super Freaky Girl truly is simply more rap than Big Energy.
It did not do bigger numbers than SFG. SFG broke a spotify and Billboard record. And sold 89k PHYSICAL copies the first week. A single doing 89k in PURE sales first week is nuts.

Here's the real question, why do people give so much of a shit about winning awards for their music? The Grammy's for example, has always been a popularity contest and says nothing about how good an artist's music actually is. There's some artists out there that make fire music that don't even ever get mentioned at award shows. An artist should care more about the quality of music they make, not how many awards they can stack in their trophy case.

My favorite genre is pop music and personally, Big Energy sounds more pop than Super Freaky Girl. Latto is brilliant in that song and it has crossed over completely to pop. I also really love Nicki because she is different, intricate, and extremely talented (she's a really great singer and rapper)! I would love for Nicki to win Best Rap category for those reasons and because Super Freaky Girl truly is simply more rap than Big Energy.

Here's the real question, why do people give so much of a shit about winning awards for their music? The Grammy's for example, has always been a popularity contest and says nothing about how good an artist's music actually is. There's some artists out there that make fire music that don't even ever get mentioned at award shows. An artist should care more about the quality of music they make, not how many awards they can stack in their trophy case.
