That is such a noble thing you are doing. He will be really excited to have such a lovely gift. I do not have any tutorial for a cape, but I have seen Batman logo crochet tutorials on TH-cam, you can make a simple black cape and stitch the logo on it. Hope you are able to make it.
Ok i got 7:42 into video through row 6 counting stitches and looks like what you hd to that point, but i used bigger crochet hook for bigger boy. I don't sed where you decreased any, it's looking like wavyy saucer, this happened once before with a women's pattern i was following i ended up modifying it into a cute Barrett as i was using expensive yarn an didn't want to ruin the yarn pulling it apart. I ended up making a scarf to match it. It had a lot of detail stitches in it. Anyway, think there's something missing. I'll just do a basic hat and follow your mask and ears. Thanks!
