In the U.K. in 2009 we were so sick of Simon Cowells music machine getting the Christmas no 1 single that we set out to make this the no. 1 song instead, 18 years after its release. The band gave their royalties, 70k to a homeless shelter
Telling people to buy a song whose lyrics “F you I won’t do you what you tell me” and thinking it’s somehow rebellious is still one of the stupidest ideas of my lifetime.
@@Andylarry23 clearly, we appear to be missing the part where the band told people explicitly to buy the song. And even if they DID, when the money went to a great cause, whining about it seems a little ridiculous.

Rage is incredible, top tier all around. For most of their songs the lyrics feel like poetry and are filled with deep references. This one though is more like a chant or hymn. The repetition is just driving home the feeling and anger.
RAGE does not have a bad song or album!! One of the best debut albums ever!! I attended what turned out was their first live gig, just by pure chance, at my college (C.S.U.N). That was my first exposure to them, and you could hear them all across campus. I blew off my next class to finish watching them, needless to say. How could I not!

Tom Morello's guitar playing is I N N O V A T I V E - his riffs are highly recognisable. When you hear one, you immediately know it's Tom playing. The bandname is also extremely on point - all their lyrics are expressing rage against the injustices in society, "the machine"
Haven't been on here in a while, love the backdrop. These guys been one of my favorite bands for 30 years, some say some musicians are ahead of their time but Rage was the definition of that. Everything they did..everything had meaning. And sounded fire AF! Not many musicians chart like that talking about real shit either, they're probably one of few.

In the 70's-80's there were drummers/bassists/guitars along with singers that I was into. Once we got into the 90's-2000's it was about the singers and the band as a whole. But Tom Morello was the one who stood out. He was so inventive and came up with awesome riffs. Great reaction 😊

I’m also talking about System of a down Pantera Soundgarden, tool, Alice In Chains, slayer metallica rush, Megadeth, Pink Floyd, dream, Theatre, and definitely don’t forget Mudvayne! Tom Morello did things on a guitar that had never been done and his sound is so unique, he would play and it sounded like he was scratching a record on a turn table, simply no other musician like him. One of the best to ever play for sure.

Yes Rage!! Payoff and energy are great words for their music. And when you add the meaning behind the lyrics, it’s a double whammy! Some more please! - Wake Up - Bulls On Parade - Sleep Now In The Fire - Down Rodeo
Long time admirer and a new subscriber. One of the most influental bands around. You didn't reacted here to Killswitch Engage so i don't think you know about them. Their new single is Forever Aligned. You will love it.
Iconic song although the full title is "Killing In The Name Of". Now you can meet BabyMetal feat. Tom Morello - "METALI!!" Also Tom was part of another superband along with Chris Cornell (R.I.P.) called Audioslave, you probably already know him bc of Guitar Hero videogames, he was one of the boss guitar.🤘🎸🔥
I saw them in Hollywood at a little club on Sunset before they got their record deal. They were selling cassettes off the stage. They were absolutely incredible. They played this song and what became their first album.
Zach is the lead singer and he had two bands before this one. They were some straight edge hard-core bands his first one he played guitar and they were called hard stance , the second band which he was the vocalist for was called inside out and they are spectacular.
when burning CDs was a thing .. I had this song, Pantera 'Walk', Red Hot Chili Peppers 'Give It Away' and Cypress Hill 'Insane in the membrane' on a mix.. Riding around in a dropped down Chevy- S10 with 2 JL 12's ... completely different time, different vibes!
In 95, I think, 90s is blurry lol, I saw RATM and Cypress Hill play a joint set together on stage at Scotland's T In The Park festival. Seeing them both share the stage and jam together was, well, MIND BLOWING! Cypress Hill had missed their own performance slot early in the day because B Real pissed off a security guy at London Heathrow when they flew in from the states before heading to Scotland and the prick detained them for hours for basically no reason. So Rage let them join in and share their headline set which let us see one of the greatest gigs of all time!
Not gonna lie, wasn’t sure how you’d react to RATM. Super impressed that you were fully into it! 😎👍 Welcome to Rage, you will probably love all their big songs, looking forward to seeing those reactions!

Thank you Stacey, my favorite cat lady 🤣 for not playing the radio edit 🎸🔥🤘🏼
Yes Rage!! Payoff and energy are great words for their music. And when you add the meaning behind the lyrics, it’s a double whammy!
Some more please!
- Wake Up
- Bulls On Parade
- Sleep Now In The Fire
- Down Rodeo
Long time admirer and a new subscriber.
One of the most influental bands around.
You didn't reacted here to Killswitch Engage so i don't think you know about them. Their new single is Forever Aligned. You will love it.
iconic song legend there. you can't sit on a chair listening to it.
Iconic song although the full title is "Killing In The Name Of". Now you can meet BabyMetal feat. Tom Morello - "METALI!!"
Also Tom was part of another superband along with Chris Cornell (R.I.P.) called Audioslave, you probably already know him bc of Guitar Hero videogames, he was one of the boss guitar.🤘🎸🔥
The captions on the original video... (spirited upbeat music continues) - I'm fuckin dying! 😂
I saw them in Hollywood at a little club on Sunset before they got their record deal. They were selling cassettes off the stage. They were absolutely incredible. They played this song and what became their first album.
When playing Tom’s guitar riffs you fell so alive and badass too 🤘🎸
“Testify” live is a really good listen.
Zach is the lead singer and he had two bands before this one. They were some straight edge hard-core bands his first one he played guitar and they were called hard stance , the second band which he was the vocalist for was called inside out and they are spectacular.
FREEDOM! That should be the next one, it brings that rage and cranks it up to 11.
💯
Thank you for another amazing reaction hope you have a lovely night queen 👑
Rage is so relevant today.✌️😊🔥
when burning CDs was a thing .. I had this song, Pantera 'Walk', Red Hot Chili Peppers 'Give It Away' and Cypress Hill 'Insane in the membrane' on a mix.. Riding around in a dropped down Chevy- S10 with 2 JL 12's ... completely different time, different vibes!
dude YESSS
In 95, I think, 90s is blurry lol, I saw RATM and Cypress Hill play a joint set together on stage at Scotland's T In The Park festival. Seeing them both share the stage and jam together was, well, MIND BLOWING! Cypress Hill had missed their own performance slot early in the day because B Real pissed off a security guy at London Heathrow when they flew in from the states before heading to Scotland and the prick detained them for hours for basically no reason. So Rage let them join in and share their headline set which let us see one of the greatest gigs of all time!
Yeeeeeeeee!!!!
Back to the late teens. Still listen to them. Love your channel. 😊
Tom Morello is a straight up wizard. His guitar solos are crazy.
Wonderful reaction, Stacey.. 😊
Not gonna lie, wasn’t sure how you’d react to RATM. Super impressed that you were fully into it! 😎👍
Welcome to Rage, you will probably love all their big songs, looking forward to seeing those reactions!
Hello Stacey!! WOW!!! Talk about wanting independence in not going to conform!! I love this kind of music, I don't listen to it often, but it sure is refreshing. Great seeing YOU today Stacey! Bye😊
I wonder how many teens have played this song (loud) when told to clean their rooms by their parents? Lol. Great reaction Stacey.
