It’s kind of crazy how chill and real your videos are compared to most other youtubers nowadays. Between that man trying to fight you and your truck being broken into.. it’s cool to see those as footnotes rather than the title, thumbnail and 10sec preview at the beginning of the video. It’s a nice reminder that life is a collection of moments and surprises, and those who tune in to follow your journey get to see the ups and down and be a part of that journey, as opposed to the clickbait of one singular moment. Thanks for being genuine, and thanks for keepin on truckin.

Through this entire video I had so much anger in me from the woman that threatened you. I waited for you to address it later and the fact that you didn’t give her any more attention than she deserved was such a great lesson for us all. You truly are such an admirable young man. You and the majority of Mavs fans are sheltered children apparently. Flying a drone in an extremely small remote village over peoples homes and lives is extremely rude and different from flying a drone in a big park in a city or over a lake in Minnesota or by a river. It amazes me how many of mavs blindly loyal fans are dropping similar comments to yours. No respect whatsoever for rural small town life

If MAV was doing something inappropriate then someone politely informing him to not fly his drone in a small town would have probably gotten them further than "I will sue you.....I will punch your face". He was getting scenery shots from a high altitude. You don't have to be an ass to ask someone to stop doing something that makes you uncomfortable. Rude is rude....big town or small.

I have been bingeing your videos for a week now, the rat situation had me laughing hard as did the tide spray you used to clean your truck. But my favourite so far was when you were singing in your Parent’s previous house while your Mom was cleaning the floor. 🤣 But what made me subscribe was when you cooked Thanksgiving for the many homeless people in the city you were in, empathy is my jam.
Flying to go to an expensive grocery store to fly back and cook in the truck is pretty epic.

I'm an FAA 107 drone pilot, and people can very easily report Mav, a he did break some rules such as flying over people, and roads with motorized vehicles in the local area, etc... Just hope he flies safe and people stay nice

Anchorage used to be one of the largest international airports before the Cold War ended because of its ability to allow layovers from far away places (outside the us) inside the US. That’s part to do with why you see decent infrastructure around it and people living in places you wouldn’t imagine a lot of people settling. There’s some hidden industries there as well. Fishers need teachers for their kids schools.

Mav an inspiration to me personally, with 98 pounds of weight loss, with roughly 62 more pounds to go to my goal. I have recently bought a mountain bike , and started riding again after 25 years of not being on a bike. What I would tell people now that are struggling with whatever is going on in your life don't ever give up on your self are you dreams keep pushing forward and live life to the fullest and get the most out of it. Good for you. I lost a little of weight once. Then plateau ed. But I kept on my eating plan. I kept loosing inches. Again, stayed on my plan. Finally dropped cheese and artifical sweetener. Then started dropping again. Telling you this. Because it might happen to you. Dropping lots of weight your body has to adjust. So keep on. No matter what! I was able to become a runner after that. Never run in my life before. I started out running one lap and added a lap each time. Loved it, but my knees didn't. So started walking in the pool. Love that. So proud of you!!
Oh, and I went back to college at age 50. Had to drop out when younger. So I didn't give up on my dream. Got straight A's except math. I got my degree in English, Theatre, and Communication. And yes, I was back on stage dancing and acting in Musical Theatre again! I never gave up! So Yes for you. GOGO!

Mav handled the drone thing way better than we would. We're Part 107 certified drone pilots, fly with drones that have thermal cameras, and have full insurance. Had that happened to us we would have told them to call the police on us so we could make them look stupid when the cops tell those idiots we have a right to fly. On top of that had they done something to the drone it's a federal crime (on par with preventing an airplane from taking off) and they would have faced criminal charges. I'd make sure they went to jail.
I am exctied to see where you go next. I do agree it is a great idea to leave the truck behind sometime and travel by plane I love , to see your experiences!
Hey Mav! Probably might not see this but I’ve been watching your videos this past year and oddly it satisfies me. I never expected me to like these types of videos because I never went camping before. I really appreciate your content & you as a person. I hope in these past videos, you explain specifically how to use your camping equipment. Someday I want the lifestyle you have and it would be helpful to know how to.

LOL, yes Barrow's expensive, but try one of the tiny villages. Barrow would be a hub, the city, going to town! Hit a remote village and shop there. Cook it the same day you buy it or it'll go bad too. Keep your head on a swivel in Barrow too, never know when Nanook is afoot. The muktuk you had (for those who are wondering) is the outer layer of skin and the layer of blubber beneath the skin. I've had whale steak. It's a good red meat. Good on you for trying it.

There's 3 different kinds of villages in Alaska : wet , damp and dry . These are legal terms of where you can or can't drink alcohol . A dry village is where alcohol is banned , even in medicine . You can't have cough syrup with alcohol . A damp village is where you can have alcohol BUT you can't go to a liquor store in these villages . A wet village is where you can have a liquor store to buy alcohol . By the way , you can't buy beer in grocery stores anywhere in Alaska . I was surprised you could buy beer in stores in the Lower 48 ( states ) .

Next time you’re in Seattle you should check out Metropolitan Market on Admiral Way in west Seattle. Not quite as expensive as Barrow but it’s the most amazing grocery store I’ve ever seen.

I was in Baker Lake, NW Territories in 1992, The locals were very pleasant to us all, Some younger ones tried to snipe a few things from our supply cache (which was headed to our Lodge (Chantry Inlet Lodge) to be specific. But the misquitos were the bigger prob!

Those grocery prices are actually CRAZY cheap compared to the Canadian Arctic equivalent. They must be subsidized or something. Or they have less far to fly. When I lived in Iqaluit, everything had to be flown in from Ottawa or Montreal. I guess stuff is trucked to probably Fairbanks and flown in from there.
I'm guessing jobs up there must pay enough that people aren't starving but probably don't often buy stuff like watermelons? The prices in the Canadian Arctic stores must be the highest in the world.

I was sure I subscribed...good to see a young man living his best life. 60 years ago all I wanted to do was travel, go fishing, forage for food and see our continent. But girls didn't do that alone back then and I never found a like soul.oh well. I have enjoyed watching you. Keep it up. Never loose that spirit.

Mav…Glad to see you are back in your truck, which has been your home away from home & ‘your Buddy’..That Barrow town is for indigenous natives, who are born there, and that’s the only diet of whale parts and solitude they’ve known. I appreciate that, and don’t knock it, but it’s a very different lifestyle when you’ve grown up in the lower 48 states. Great video as always!

Eggs are insane here in Alabama and the cost of living here is really low. Minimum wage here is $7.50 and eggs about $6-7. 🤯
