Hello dear,thanks so much for being a part of this journey.I really do appreciate you. I think my secret has been : 1.My artisans..I have a very reliable,committed and trustworthy Team. Being a first time builder,I’ve really learnt a lot from them in just under 2yrs and that has contributed immensely to my progress and decision making. 2.Planing ahead of myself…I’ve been building in phases right from the beginning. Buying building materials and keeping them at the warehouse really was an X factor.Whilst prices of building materials were on a high rise in Ghana at the later part of 2022,about 85 percent of the materials needed (iron rods,sand,cement,quarry stones and wood) for the upper floor decking were paid for which really saved me money for the next phase which was the first floor block laying. 3.Location…I’m in a very prime location in Kumasi and getting materials by always comparing prices really paid off. 4.Motivation…You my cherished viewers have also played an important role in this journey.Your encouragement, support and suggestions have really helped. 5.Pace and strength….Probably this should have been the point 1. Understanding my financial strength and choosing the kind of house to build and at what pace right from the start has guided my steps. Although there were some few changes I made at the ground floor by breaking off some blocks to change the front view plan which came with an extra cost but that was worth it. Most people start their projects in earnest but without proper planning and in most cases even get stuck right at the foundation or the lintel level. I would be coming up with a video on the overall cost of this project at its current state very soon. I hope this helps in your decision making going forward.
