wait! the map is called Tsaritsyn. that is stalingrad. before the russian civil war the city of stalingrad (now Wolgograd) was called Tsaritsyn and was only called Stalingrad when the soviets had the power and in honor of stalin who was one of the commanders during the battles of Tsarytsin. so bassicly if you play as the red army in this map you play under the command of Stalin. The other commander was Kliment voroshilov, he was the soviet minister of war during ww2 and the KV tanks are named after him.

The pistol is actually a Mosin-Nagant that's had its barrel cut down and its butt stock removed. Soldiers did it to make it easier to use in trenches.

That pistol is an M91 Mosin-Nagant Custom Modification.

Fun fact: The gun the sentry uses is called the Villar Perosa, referring to the Villar Perosa M1915, and in some artwork it is even portrayed with curved magazines. But in game as well as in the icon they use in the menus, it has straight magazines. These were never really used on the M1915, but on its austrian copy, the storm pistol M.18.

Ben Both mags have 25 rounds. They fire at the same time, so two bullets per trigger pull.

The fact that they put a Russian Civil War inside of a World War 1 game is really amazing
The Obrez pistol is just a mosin-nagant with it's barrel almost completely sawn-off. So yes it does fire rifle bullets, and you can double up on both with the Sniper class.
So an "Obrez" pistol is really just a Mosin Nagant that has been chopped down, both at the barrel and the stock. Apparently, these were popular weapons for guerrillas, partizans, and revolutionaries as actual pistols were hard to come by and they could be easily concealed. They also are known for the neat little quirk, thanks to the extremely short barrel, of creating massive fireball like muzzle blasts due to huge amounts of unburned powder leaving the muzzle.

Another great video , this Map looks sooo good , shame I couldn't get onto CTE , so will have to make do with the recent Lupkow pass map , love the snowy back drop maps , the detail is amazing , does look like people who worry about their KD are going to have issues with this map you need eyes everywhere there are so many flanking angles .

findlay smith unlikely, itll probably have terrible long range accuracy also since its a rifle bullet with basically no barrel
Maybe for balance reasons, but in real life it would hit less hard than if it were fired form a full-size rifle. A much shorter barrel means less time for the powder to burn, and therefore a much slower bullet.
Seemed pretty OP on the CTE from what I've seen, it'll probably get nerfed before release.
findlay smith shouldn't be. It has no barrel to build up the pressure that makes the rifle round strong.

Good luck on the jaw surgery, last year I went through a massive jaw surgery with work on my upper and lower jaw, a very aggressive surgery. The worst part is not being able to eat causing a lot of weight loss but you will pull through like a champ.

The Obrez pistol is essentially just a sawed off Mosin Nagant rifle for anyone who was curious. The Mosin Nagant is also one of two new single action rifles coming with the DLC.
Jack, 'Obrez' is a colloquial term for any sawed-off weapon, though it is most commonly and most famously applied to the Mosin-Nagant rifle, when the barrel is sawed down to create a more easily concealable, but still very powerful indeed, handgun out of a Mosin.

So they'll add a load more guns for DLC, but not the base game? I own Premium, and I've pre-ordered this game, and they've added like NO content since the fucking game came out. I mean come on 2 DLCs and 1 free map in 7 months?! Who is in-charge over at EA? I am still waiting for my Springfield M1903 infantry, Ross rifle, Carcano, Thompson Annihilator, Martini grenade launcher, P14/17, and the Hotchkiss M1914. This game needs content, and the reason why we dont have alot of content is because Westie, and Flack-fire, and the beta testers said BF 4, and BFH had to much content.

The Obrez was a sawn off version of the Mosin-Nagant used by the Red Army as close quarters weapons to be concealed under jackets. They used them until they got access to government arsenals of Nagant M1895 revolvers.
The obrez is a mosin nagant hacked down to the length of a pistol so yes it is firing rifle ammo. Its basically a sawn off rifle and was a somewhat common thing to do during the Russian Revolution, I forget exactly why.

Yondoodle BF4 is the most slow and clunky BF game next to hardline, do you even own BF1 to say it's slower than fucking bf4?
I don't play multiplayer fps's but I prefer BF being slower paced, it seems more tactical and you actually have to think and work with your team as opposed to cod which there is no team or tactics, only skill. BF is waaay more complex than that. BF1 seems slow at times and really fast and hectic at others, I like that, makes it less tedious to watch and I would assume, play.

Play verdun if you want slow paced. If you want team play, play squad, bf1 is slower paced than cod and it's more team oriented than cod, but that does not mean it does either of those well. It's still fast paced and team communication is restricted between 5 different people.

No...he expends the 25 round mags, and when he reloads, he only uses 25 rounds from the backup to reload...
Gabe Vasilescu both barrels fire at the same time according to symthic, so really its two 25 magazines.
it's 25 bullets per mag but they both shoot at the same time, so it should be 50 rounds in the ammo counter but it's not really necessary if the fire from both barrels is in sync.
It fires both barrels at the same time so you are effectively dual welding automaticos

Nostalgic coming back to bf1 after only a couple years
The giant building in the middle of the map gives me similar vibes from the Aftermath DLC
Watching the CoD snow map footage, and seeing this is almost comical. Sledgehammer should be embarrassed. It really looks like an indie team of 6 with a small budget made CoD WWII. The animations are terrible, the environments look like a fabricated theme park world, the sound design is still shit, and the weapons seem more like airsoft guns. The only thing going back to "boots on the ground" has achieved is showing how badly CoD has aged.

Love this map, the Model 1900 shotgun or the Fedorov Avtomat Medic Rifle are great choices in my opinion.
