I hate the Playoffs, but I hope that happens to show to NASCAR how much the Playoffs is a failure of a gimmick to hopefully then change it.
all it would do is generate buzz and headlines, NASCAR would absolutely love it. they want these controversial winners, gimmick or not it generates a ton of exposure. idk why playoff haters think that stuff like that exposes a broken system or whatever, it's literally what it was designed to do so they're not gonna change it when they're getting the exact outcome they want lmao. plus it doesnt even matter who makes the playoffs beyond the top 8 or 10 drivers, none of them are championship contenders anyway so it generates good story lines and hype without ever actually affecting the championship picture
They’re not going to change it - they put Daytona near the end of reg season for a reason (spoilers), followed by a track that requires skill. @@matthewjohnston1400 I should have clarified. I don't mind the stages, I don't like the stage breaks as in, I don't like that the field gets reset. One reason I don't like it is because I didn't grow up with it, so it's foreign to me, not used to it and I don't see what the point is other than more air time for sponsors and to create more restarts for possible crashes to take place. When a restart happened prior to stage breaks it was a naturally exciting moment because it happened less. Stage breaks and resetting the field also destroys a dominant teams ability to showcase their dominant car that weekend. Yes it adds excitement and adds parity but the playoffs format itself and the new car add both of those things anyway. I suppose I see it as superfluous. There's nothing like watching a guy start 12th and have a 200 lap green run and seeing him pass all 11 cars in front of him for the lead as the track changes and the adjustments from the driver are made during those 200 laps, by the time the pass for the lead is made everyone has been watching this guy class the field and track down the seemingly dominant cars over the course of a long run because they strategized to achieve that outcome at the expense of short run speed.
Ever since Reddick came over to 23XI, I've been worried that Bubba wouldn't be able to handle the pressure that came with his new phenom teammate. It's one thing to compete alongside an established, championship-winning veteran like Kurt Busch. It's another to be outperformed weekly by an upcoming superstar, younger than he is, taking the same equipment he's in to the regular season championship.

Hey Eric I thought I would mention some news. Rockingham is back on the NASCAR schedule for 2025 xfinty and truck race. It was in the news paper. Charlotte observer. Everyone here in Rockingham are stoked maybe we’ll get a cup date in the coming years
Something of note that I heard on DBC last year was how we as fans don't seam to care about the regular season champion. I think the reason that is is because 1 so much more emphasis is out on the bubble, especially now. So much is put on about bubba wallace being 21 points behind buescher, meanwhile we have an 18 point spread between the top 3 gauys for the regular season! The 2nd reason I thibk we as fans 'don't care' is because of how TV displays the standings. It lists the winners in order of wins NOT in order of points, while the points guys are listed by points. If you look at the graphic every time it has Kyle Larson as #1 and then Byron, Bell, and Hamlin all above reddick. I get that's becauae it's applying therace wins points to them, but it's completely lost then on the casual viewer that reddick is actually technically up another 15 points for leading the points. We as a sport put significantly more emphasis on the bubble than on the regular season title, and I think that is a disservice to the top 3 guys, who again, are in an 18 point gap from 1st to 3rd between Reddick Larson and Elliot, the most popular dtiver in the sport!
Berry started 33rd at Darlington in spring but finished 3rd and was the fastest car on track at times. They’ve improved especially with qualifying. That 4 car and Josh Berry could absolutely win Darlington. Berry and Buescher are my picks. Berry should be higher than 6th. Had they qualified say, 16th instead of 33rd, he may have won the spring race. He passed a ton of cars, got to the front and had no clue how the car would drive in cleaner air. I wouldn’t be surprised if he leads half the race this week.
I’m gonna say that either Ross Chastain, or Chris Buescher get in on points. As much as I want to say bubba could easily make the playoffs, I just have to accept that Darlington is one of Chastains better tracks. Same with Buescher .as long as we don’t get a new winner, I’m gonna say buescher gets In

If anyone’s gonna win in, it’s gonna be Busch. He’s on a great streak. I think Busch wins, and buscher gets ahead of gibbs thanks to toyotas engine issues, making the people to point in being buscher and truex, with busch winning in
Of course Bubba is going to be emotional he's 13th in the regular season standings. His teammate is in the lead of the season standings. But yet because of this b******* winning your end system. Bubba's going to miss the playoffs just like Martin did a couple of years ago. NASCAR needs to bring back the top 30 rule but it shouldn't be 30 it should be 25. If you're 25th or better when you're in. If you're 26th or worsen points you should not be able to win and bump somebody who's 13th and a regular season standings. 21 positions better than you are. That is b*******.
This means for Trackhouse last year Ross was in and Daniel was already on vacation and now it’s Daniel in and Ross probably not making it. Wish both of them would make it in.

@@stephenholloway6893I didn't say truex won a championship without winning.. only that he's good example of getting into playoffs without doing so., No one outside probably the top 7 positions , has realistic change of winning the actual title .. Hey Eric not sure if you already have a video in the works. But would love to hear your predictions on where the remaining unsigned drivers will end up for next year. Also where the last Stewart haas charter will land.
I need KFB to win this race!!! #8 for the Southern 500 win!!!
Im not even really a kyle busch fan but after the year he has had. I wanna see him do a run like tony stewart in 2011
If Ross even has a decent car he’s far and away the most likely to win
Shout out to Eric Esteep (sic) for getting quoted for comments on his TH-cam channel. Essentially Sports (alongside comments by Kevin Harvick
I'm personally hoping for Chastain to win, and Buescher to edge out Gibbs for the 16th slot. I'm not majorly anti Gibbs, I'm just very pro Trackhouse and RFK
Timmy Hill gonna make the playoffs
If anyone’s gonna win in, it’s gonna be Busch. He’s on a great streak. I think Busch wins, and buscher gets ahead of gibbs thanks to toyotas engine issues, making the people to point in being buscher and truex, with busch winning in
The Lady in Black (Darlington) loves to dance with Busch ,so roll the dice bet it twice Busch wins and get's in to the playoffs !
Justin Haley, Noah Gragson, Josh Berry.
That is b*******.
gonna be an interesting race with all the possible winners to upset the bubble drivers
This means for Trackhouse last year Ross was in and Daniel was already on vacation and now it’s Daniel in and Ross probably not making it. Wish both of them would make it in.
Erik Jones for the win!!! 🏁
Ahh. Being a Hendrick fan is really nice this time of year. Shit all year tbh.
How? Every Hendrick driver is in the playoffs.
Please RCR, bring the speed that you brought to richmond and daytona. Although my guy KB doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs. I just hope for a win before the end of the season
RCR is now fast and Kyle Busch the past 3 weeks has been very consistent and almost won Daytona so watch out for the number 8 team
Hey Eric will you be at Kansas again next week? I’ll be working security by the truck exit garage. Saw you in May but didn’t get a chance to say Hi.
This week we also crown a regular season champ for the Out of the Groove fantasy league. Good luck to everyone.
I'd put MTJ in front of most (if not all) of these guys
Austin Dillon has the chance to do the funniest thing ever. (And he did win the regular season finale a few years ago.)
I would put Todd “Chilly Gilly” Gilliland
3:43 Didn’t Berry wreck out at Nashville?
agree Eric
Gilliand had a good showing earlier this year, not a favorite but potential is there.
Poor little bubba 😂
Just sad............NOT!!!!!!!!!! A total goober.😂🤣
i hope Ross wins and hope flubba cries again
Great video, I know you have a voice with Nascar. Could you please ask them why they hold the Xfinity races during the HOTTEST PART OF THE DAY at tracks with lights, maybe Nascar wants low attendance, I really don't know could you check it out, PLEASE
I know he's been running decent for a couple yrs but Brad Kesolowski could be considered an upset win this year. It's only his first win with RFK
As a KB fan, I've been huffing ao much copium this season that I have to double down at this point and claim he has this Darlington win in the bag on Sunday.
Will this age poorly, or will I be considered a prophet?
Probably poorly, it would be cool to see but yea..
Kyle Busch might be looking better regardless but his finish last week could have been for half the field crashing out
Been rooting for him all season long and this weekend Kyle Busch finally gets it done. Kyle Busch is your winner.
Ryan Preese underdog Win !😮
Matt Kenseth won that 2013 Darlington race 😁
Truex wins after a season of misery
2025 schedule was released today for all 3 series… bad timing for you tbh
54 is in it has already been written !!! his that good
3:45 hey Eric love the videos but Josh Berry did NOT get second at Nashville😂 I’m pretty sure it was Zane Smith
In fact I don’t think he even finished the race
The win and your in format need to be kicked to the curb. It's rediculace that a car in 34th place in the point's is part of the Championship run.
Everyone has same opportunities to win at least one race.. plus whoever gets that last spot isn't going turn around thier season and win the championship.
Drivers can make it without winning .. truex has proven that.
More like Crafton in the Truck Series he's the only playoff era driver to win the championship without winning a race. Truex did win races that year when he won the championship.
@@stephenholloway6893I didn't say truex won a championship without winning.. only that he's good example of getting into playoffs without doing so.,
No one outside probably the top 7 positions , has realistic change of winning the actual title ..
Larson,Hamlin ,bell, Byron, Reddick .. outside change of blaney and Elliot. Beyond that there clear step down to the next tier..
Any car out there now can win a race there all the same especially when all the top drivers get taken out in wrecks
I really hope Bubba comes through. If he wins at Darlington I'll be VERY happy!
I hope he does as well he could definitely win there it will be the biggest win of his career!
Bubba is trash.
bubba is gonna be fast , he’s been the number one car the last 10 races it just always seems to fall apart at the end . eric spent too much time talking about his cons and not enough about how good his pace has been and how unlucky he’s gotten
@@urmama25 He'll be fast until he crashes.
@@johnbaskett2309so you admit he gets wrecked anytime he’s good?
All it takes is one more engine blow for Ty Gibbs to go through and, his playoff hopes are done. Or even any failure. Like he’s that close to the cut off line now. Not even a month or two ago he was safely secured
I'm thinking Kyle or Chris.. but I also fear a messy race
I think that Darlington is an elite level track. An elite driver is going to win.
Im happy with Shitstain and Bubba below the cut line. Let's keep it that way. 😅 I use to like Bubba but after him taking out my fav driver Larson and trying to start a fight. Well. Yeah.
I hated Bubba long before that. BTW, I'm a huuuge Larson fan also!!!!!!!!!!!
@@johnbaskett2309 I will ditto that #john.
