They were touring Europe almost constantly from 1994-1998, and were also financially supported by Sony/Creation records, because it was felt that they could play towns/cities the actual Oasis wouldn't go near. Seriously, I think they made millions from it.

If you're under the age of 20, it must be hard to imagine there was a weekly primetime show dedicated to the singles chart, and even harder to comprehend would be the fact a tribute band was on it. But that's how big Oasis were, if you lived through it (I was 16/17 in 1996) you'll never see the like again, our 60's. and our Beatles right there.
25 so I only really remember 2000s top of the pops. Where they the only tribute act to appear on it? Off the top of my head I can only imagine the only ones would would be Bjorn Again and Bootleg Beatles? I’m sure they both charted at some point

It’s weird because in the 90s, everyone thought he sounded nothing like Liam. But he does sound quite a lot like 2020 Liam Gallagher. Liam’s vocal decline over the last 20 years, means they’re now quite a close match
