I have watched carnivores devour their prey, but nothing is more gruesome and barbaric as what humans do to other animals for food. Of course in the wild, it is not humane because those animals are not human. To be humane is to be benevolent, a defining trait of humanity. However, most humans have lost their humanity. I’m not vegan, but even I know that there is nothing wrong with what they’re doing. After all, animals are living, breathing being who think, feel, and value their lives just like we do. There is a possibility that we may be eating those animals when we don’t have to.
Sure, the meat and dairy industry is messed up but blocking trucks, raiding, disrupting the peace, vandalism and trespassing isn't going to do a lot, just wasting animals that could turn to food.

Animal rights activists have noble intentions in rescuing animals from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. However, they may not fully understand that some individuals rely on animal products for their livelihood and sustenance, especially during the cold winter months.
Indeed, regardless of the season, people are ingrained with the belief that consuming meat is justified as long as it provides sustenance. Some individuals even argue that a meal without meat would leave them feeling incomplete.
It takes time for everyone to realize that consuming meat, regardless of its source, can have a detrimental effect on the ecosystem. Ultimately, no one can deny that eating meat means consuming the flesh of a living being that desires to live freely, without being confined and slaughtered.
They certainly have a right to do this.. and I'm also protecting animals I don't eat a lot of meat very seldom mostly my diet consists of fruits and vegetables
. And to tell you the truth I feel a lot better for it... and I also wouldn't buy any cosmetic that did animal testing on it that's disgusting.. I agree which is what a lot of vegans are advocating for as well. There are millions of people starving and without clean water in this world. But how is it that we have enough food and water to feed 70 billion animals per year that will be slaughtered for consumption? Currently, the US grows enough crops to feed 10 billion people but majority of that goes to feed animals for consumption. Theoretically, we could end world hunger is we all went vegan. Consuming animals products is classist.
Also, you don't have to focus on only one issue at a time. You can advocate for human rights at the same times as abstaining from animal products.

I understand the reasons, and I agree there needs to be changes, but those folks are in for sad surprises when they find out most or all of those chickens are bred for meat and don't have normal genetics. I've tried to keep several over the years, and they grow so fast they can't walk right and their hearts can't keep up. Most recently, one flipped down our hill after being unable to run and broke his wing so that the bones came out and I mercy killed him. Another had been a hen who passed of slow heart failure I didn't recognize, as it is an average heart in a triple sized body. Feeding healthy meals like average chickens and letting them get out in the pasture has no effect, they are a genetically altered breed, not a natural one. I suppose at least their last days will be nicer at the rescue.

Why are these activists against hunting then? Hunting is a more natural way and more respectable than factory farming. Plus hunters usually make use of every parts of the animals body while factory farming wastes a lot of parts making the sacrifice more wasteful. Another plus, one deer can feed a family for months. How many deers do they kill in factory farming for scraps? If you don't like factory farming, support hunting.

What could work could be to instead teach people alternatives to meat. I know it isn’t easy, but in the long run, might be more effective than just getting arrested sadly
Eating and meat-free diet is not easy. Most people will be short on zinc and B12.
A proper meat-free diet can be excellent for your health but most people don't do it right and don't make the effort to develop a taste for the foods that they have to eat to get all the nutrients and vitamins they need.
Many benefits attributed to being vegetarian are really from improved exercise, less alcohol consumption, less smoking, Etc. These plus a vegetarian diet can give you 6 to 9 extra quality years.
But you also need to look at your hereditary stock. If you're descended from people who had a high meat diet, such as the Russian steppes where salted meat was a primary component for hundreds of years, you may not do well on a vegetarian diet.
Likewise, if you're descended from people who subsisted on fish for many generations, you may need to include some fish in your diet.

There’s nothing heroic about saving these chickens. They are bred based on genetic defects that make them too large to even sustain themselves. Admirable it may be. Those chicken and the ones we raise are useless. They have no instinct and cannot defend themselves, or even feed well when on ‘open air’ farms. They get sniped by predators.

For those criticizing, just imagine if these were dogs or cats. Most people would applaud their efforts to save them even if it’s just one or two. Animal activists just happen to view them all the same and don’t believe any of them should be subjected to the kind of treatment they experience on these factory farms. As far as the whole “but they shouldn’t be breaking the law”, just look at the history of law across the world. Plenty of laws that are a direct violation of the vast majority of the population’s ideas of what is moral. Legality doesn’t dictate morality. And as far as the farmers or workers in these industries, you are going to be hard pressed to find someone who loves animals make an exception because” that’s how they earn a living” if your job requires you to hurt someone or something then it’s recommended you find something else to do.

Dogs and cats were bred to be mans companions. Chickens were bred for eggs and meat, cows for milk and meat. Sheep for wool and meat. They were assinged roles at the dawn of mankind.
What they are today is evolutionarily so different from what they were is their assinged roles.
But don't think me a monster, I agree that factory farming needs to be put to rest for more humane techniques.
But I don't value animal life in that way, what matters to a person, depends on them. If a man puts a value on his dog or cat, above what he eats he has that right.
Being radical and disrupting the system today just makes things harder, and the one thing people like least of all is tedium. Thats why laws are there, to ensure things run smoothly. Not every law is ethical, but not every protest against laws is ethical either.
@@yammoto148 who decided that the purpose of these animals was to serve us? Chickens, cows, goats, pigs, etc. did not come into existence to serve humans. They existed in the wild on their own serving their purpose to the natural world and eco systems. And even though now we have evolved in many places to reduce or eliminate animals from our diets completely, meat, dairy and eggs are still being pushed as a necessary component to our diet. The way these animals are raised today is completely inhumane. The chicken today is not the chicken it was in the past. We breed these animals into existence. They are sicker, grow at disproportionate rates, and made to suffer through torturous conditions.
What people learn to value has much to do with the way we as a society are raised. So the point of this movement is to get people to call their beliefs into question. To challenge hypocrisies. We did things because we didn't understand how it worked, so we experimented and learned. Thats who we are. The reasom why its still part of our diet is for numerous reasons. Taste, health, cost, the fact they cant live without us.

There will be no water left on this planet if we continue with animal agriculture. If you want a future for your children, you need to switch to plant based meals and advocate for it. The single thing everyone can do to have the biggest positive impact on our environment is to go plant based. Just by going plant based, you decrease your carbon footprint by 73%. So make sure your children have water in the future, we must stop animal agriculture.
