Yeah, weather on Sunday was weird. I was looking forward to Boxerfest, but still ended up leaving by noon once the heat stacked on top of the humidity.
I use a group N pitch stop + Torque solution master cylinder brace, and Beatrush lower trans mount bush set. Setup seems to be a good balance of NVH and comfort, shifter feels great for a non STI gearbox. I think any remaining drive train play comes from motor mounts and prop shaft center supp bearing, rear diff. OFC upgrading these items merely transfers the torque to the next softest bush in the drive train...idk when to stop xD not like most of us need rollcages and bucket seats...We need more chasis and susp videos :) Lowering springs? very impressive how far this car progressing 👍 Good Teamwork.
Hahahaha I had to have my wife help me finish installing my fmic on my sti, I had the intercooler mounted hot piping done, but decided to take a break and work on cutting the bumper inside because it was 124 degrees that day. I was cutting the bumper on my dinner table. I was almost done and using a box cutter to clean up a few places. Bumper slipped, box cutter slipped I ended up putting a 6 in gash from my palm up my wrist. After we got the bleeding to stop we super glued it closed, and she knocked out the hot side piping, and put the skid plate and bumper back on.
Ouuuuch. I've had some blade slip ups but none that bad. The super glue stitches definitely sound like something I would do tho lol sounds like you got a keeper too!
Are there any added vibrations with this mount? With it being a billet mount. I have been thinking about getting the STI Group N mount. Just not sure if it will take actually take away any of the engine rocking.
Workin on your car in crocs or slides is the only way to do it. you arent in a shop, theres no osha in that beech, being comfy is the only way to have it
Not in this car but I had one in all my other wrxs. If you're worried about the shifter you could always install a shift plate instead. I have install videos on both. Also keep in mind this install is exactly the same in the VB wrx (which I filmed) Here's the shifter itself th-cam.com/video/uyTjRiXJ4Go/w-d-xo.htmlsi=TmgaIECqSAaRxx4Q And here's the plate th-cam.com/video/dxsO2Anwt2Y/w-d-xo.htmlsi=M6mCZj_RQklH6BJ_
I love this idea. I've been thinking of doing this with my wife 🤣🤣

Honestly it added slightly more sound to the cabin but I didn't notice any extra vibrations

do you have a short shifter? and if so.. Was it difficult to install? I'm nervous about fucking something up especially taking out the linkage.
