Looking back, I like the idea that Sonic.exe himself was basically unstoppable otherwise throughout the entire mod and at best BF/GF could just hold them back for a while. But the thing that ended up becoming his downfall was allowing BF to actually meet EVERY "bad Sonic" out there to torment BF with, which included Fleetway Sonic. And if it wasn't for that, BF would have never ended up learning how to access a super form (which he was able to by the end of that section), and thus never would have escaped their grasp at the end of this song.
So in other words, Sonic.exe's great Achilles Heel weakness was his arrogance and ego blinding him to the bitter end because no one had been able to stop him before, and it came back to bite them in the end to seal his fate to likely never again have anyone play his game once BF and GF likely soon yeet the cartridge where it can never be found again or destroy it after..

@Ambitious_Nerd Goku could easily beat exe due to goku having feats that far surpass the things sonic has done in his super form and if we assume BF's super form is roughly classic sonic super form level of strength and abilities, Goku clears exe with not much of a problem since while yes exe can somewhat reality warp, it has a lot of limitations such as exe not being able to modify someone unless they've been killed by him first
After everything, Sonic.EXE comes to an end. The fans really pulled up the most insane stuff for this final escape, making as close as possible at what it should have been.
I'm genuily very happy, this is a masterpiece

Btw, before talking about the "stolen" sprites from the other final escape mod. The creator of this mod said that the same guy who made sprites for the other mod made these.

I really love how amazing this looks and the fact that Sonic.exe has a secondary mouth in his idle, left, up and right poses in the first chasing part is a very neat touch because it reminds of the FNAF animatronics having a secondary mouth in them (their endoskeleton mouths) is very creative and that's a neat way to make him look even more scarier. Very well done, this mod deserves to be seen around the whole world.

*Suddenly, he heard a noise and looked up to see BF running towards freedom. Sonic.exe was hot on his heels, reaching out to grab him. Tails knew he had to help BF - it was the least he could do.*
*Gritting his teeth, Tails started to spin his tails and quickly flew towards them. BF had turned golden and was flying faster towards freedom, but Sonic.exe was increasingly getting closer to him.*
*Tails could feel his heart pounding in his chest as he flew towards them. He could hear Sonic.exe's deafening roar of rage as he tried to grab BF. Tails knew, it was Now or Never.*
*With a burst of energy, Tails flew towards Sonic.exe and grabbed him by torso from behind. Sonic.exe tried to shake him off, but Tails held on tight. BF flew past them, and Tails knew they only had a few seconds before Sonic.exe broke free.*
*With all his might, Tails pulled Sonic.exe away as BF finally made it to freedom.* "I love you big bro..."
*Sonic.exe momentary stopped at those very words before he growled and released a raging roar as fire started to surround them.*
*Even though, he knew there was no way for him to escape himself, at least he manage to help someone.*
