Trying to fit it all into 60 seconds is about impossible! Check the description for some links to products to help you get started.

I think you should zoom in on the solder when explaining what they should look like other than that, nice video. Thank you for the education!

I agree. I'm still getting used to doing the TH-cam short style of video. Definitely will try to do better with the close ups next time!

I know lead-free solder has low wettability, but you shouldnt be telling people to avoid it in favor of lead solder. Especially amateurs (your target audience in a how-to guide) who likely dont have proper safety equipment like a fume vent, so they end up breathing in the lead fumes.

I didn't say don't use lead free solder, I said don't use cheap lead free solder that comes with most irons. Property gauged lead free from a reputable vendor is fine. It's hard to capture everything in 60 seconds.

Btw lead fumes are not a thing. Flux fumes are. Lead has to be about 1800c to fume. The problem lead lead solder is dust if you start to scrape it or solder balls if you don't wash your hands and ingest them

@@FixedUntilBroken I get that you didn't explicitly say it. To me, it just seems like if someone says "don't use cheap lead free solder", I would personally (incorrectly) interpret that as I should be using leaded solder instead.

"were going to learn how to solder"
