That was incredible! And hearing her vocal style in a more “dancey” song was really interesting.

Please react to Aurora's "through the eyes of a child" and "lucky" which she performed live at Nidarosdomen.

She never wanted to be a singer, just write music. It took her hundreds of gigs before she become anywhere comfortable performing.

I had listened to almost all kinds of music and artists for 20 years before I discovered Aurora and I can honestly say that no other artist inspires me as much as her, and there is only a handful of nusicians where I need to hear every single song and version of it.

I really enjoyed your reaction, and learned a lot about AURORA's vocal technique in the process! For an AURORA music video, I recommend her environmental anthem "The Seed!" And I strongly recommend reactions to her live performances, for instance, her highly energetic KEXP performance in Iceland, where she sings "Churchyard" and "All is Soft Inside”; as well as the Nidarosdomen Concert (in a cathedral with orchestral ensemble and choir), particularly the songs "It Happened Quiet," "Through the Eyes of a Child," "Little Boy in the Grass" and "Lucky." ; or the HAIK 2019 concert she held in a forest: "Infections of a Different Kind," "The Seed," “Daydreamer” and others; and most recently, the Bergen Philharmonic concert where she sings “Soulless Creatures” live for the first time! These are just a few suggestions -- at age 24, she already has quite an impressive repertoire.

Like you man. Your word is so nice for my ear. Learn a lot here. Yes this a very emotional song. When she sings she meaning every note. Next is the highly emotional and atmospheric Lucky in Nidarosdomen... Fun fact she wrote that when she was 9 years old and it get even more impressive... Hear and reacting to it my favourite performance ever. Have a nice friday.

AURORA, is a Norwegian singer and songwriter.(From the sane country as Angelina Jordan). Among artists and in the music industry the Norwegian singer AURORA is synonymous with quality, and she can fill a record with masterpieces time and time again. Many others are glad they manage one hit. Billie Eilish said in an interview that it was AURORA that made her become an artist and were inspired after listen to Aurora. She is a true genius artist who does not make plastic / bikini music, but is true to real creative art.

Yaaay, more Aurora please! Her voice is so interesting, and she always finds the right way to convey her messages. I had the privilege of seeing her live a few years ago, she blew me away, as per usual. I have so many recommendations but the first that came to mind is A Different Kind Of Human live for Christines radiofestival. Would love to hear what you have to say about it 😊

Loved this, it's fascinating as a layman in terms of singing to hear what's going on with her voice as an instrument.
I would love to see you react to more Aurora your 5,4,3,2,1 video was excellent. She does an a capella version of one of her songs called Through the Eyes of a Child which I think you'd really enjoy.

It really shows her totally different live interpretations of her songs. You'll love it for different reasons than you apparently loved this one.

Here is a small gift. I am not asking you to react to this song I link to - I post it as a reference point for analysing these Scandinavian girls singing the hell out of pop-music. The young woman I link to is a trained singer in Norwegian folk music (the lyrics are in Norwegian - but they are not advanced - "Eg elskar deg" means "I love you".
You as a vocal coach will instantly hear Aurora via the vocal technique that you call yodelling (we call it "trilling" or "to trille" vocally - when these women shift between head/chest voice and even inside head-voice do not slide at all between tones next to or separated). As she sings in "old" dialect, you also recognize how Norwegians use pressure on vowels and consonants naturally in our own language - and you may transfer this to Aurora singing in English. She has an accent when she speaks - but it is more interesting when it comes to how she chooses wolves and consonants musically when she is singing, by doing exactly like Bratland singing "Eg elskar deg" in Norwegian - It is very old-school vowel-focused.
    th-cam.com/video/5A5kK3FnThM/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=IBratlandVEVO
This is how a folk musician sings a "pop-song". Scandinavians have this vocal tradition, while we also have linguistic affection of the consonants as "pure sounds". To the point that our alphabet reads a, e, i, o, u, y, æ, ø and å for these vowl sounds. Yes, we have 3 extra letters for them even at present. Æ, Ø and Å. Seems like we love their clarity a lot. You may write "clEAr" as in clear. We need an Æ instead of the mushy "ea" sound English comes with.
