I owned that coach when sammy retired it. Wife did the lounge up date, had it in Missouri when I sold it. Should be a safe under the TV in back bedroom.
Entry door works great, maybe i misunderstood your comment. I believe my Dad is looking to just use it as is, and keep it as original as possible at least for the time being. I think the major appeal of these old buses is to appreciate how well they were made. If he wanted a total renovation he would of just bought a new motorhome. And correct on no shower, currently any campground or pad that could accomidate this large of a rig has showers on site. Also it will be parked indoors all winter and only used in summer months so its currently set up with an outdoor kitchen. As far as a 30k renovation, a guy who purchases such an involved rig should know how add a shower and kitchen without spending more than its worth. I guess i think a 30k renovation would consist of marble countertops and a walk in spa?!? And again, correct, there is a ice box in the video.
If it actually was an entertainer's bus awhile back(which it certainly looks like with 9 bunks) then they wouldn't be spending megabux for the employees' creature comforts, just enough to get by.
