This is just an example on how to create partition while installing Windows (Windows 7). You can create partition while installing Windows or on the existing Windows system. You do not need to clean install or reformat Windows only to partition a hard disk. I have another video about disk partitioning on existing Windows, you can view it in my channel.

Hello thanks for the video. I have a question for you. Long time ago I did this process in order to separate my files in the disk from my windows. my PC had W7 home premium pre-installed , then I installed W7 Ultimate in order to access to other functions. But this version was not genuine. Now I want to restore my windows to the original windows in order to upgrade for free to the W10 . Therefore, when I tried to restore my W7 the system asked if I have a installation Cd, which I have. My concern is if continue with this process, will I lose the files in my Hard drive? a mean in the other partition of my drive with my files?

Dararath Sath its bad. because you want your windows system and your personal data to be seperate, so that way if you download anything, it doesnt mess up your windows files. because if your windows files are messed up then they can cause alot of problems such as windows not starting up, etc.

I had all my video files on my external seagte 2 TB hard drive (showing up as drive E when pugged into a laptop) and lost all my AVCHD, RAW & JPEG files when I decided to use my external seagte 2 TB hard drive to download a Windows 10 repair disk. I have lost all my data and am getting this showing up ESD-USB (E) with only the Windows 10 repair BOOT usb files on my external E drive. Can I recover the lost data?
