    Thanks for all tips. To be specific about the aluminium gauge, it actually goes up to 6 cm (counted from the right hand side to the bottom hatch). Actually I think that is a bonus. 5 cm is not easy to do quickly other than using the ruler. What's being practical is measuring 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5.5 and 6 cm. But that it does really well!

    Hi Lauren. I watched this video when it first came out and got the magnetic seam gauge, chalk pen and aluminium measure for Xmas that year. Well I had a hiatus from sewing at around that time and have only just got back into it. I was going through my sewing box this weekend and couldn't remember what the gauge and measure were for or how to use them. So I've watched this video again today to remind myself what handy little gadgets they are. I've used them already this afternoon and they have made things so much easier! Oh, and with the chalk pen, I wouldn't have known that you can push the chalk back in by holding the other end down if you hadn't said so. That was very handy when I clicked too many times! Thank you Lauren. :)

    I'm loving Prym products. I can't seem to buy them in Australia but it's absolutely worth buying them from you. as high quality products can last a lifetime!

    Hi Lauren, back in the mid 80s we had a Fabricland that was one of their discount stores buy one get one free. That is where I stocked up on supplies. Ham, seam roll, clapper, clapper with the point press, the magnetic seam gauge, the elastic threaders you shared with us. Of course a ton of Gutermann thread. I was very disappointed when they closed down. Thank you Lauren really enjoying these segments. Val🇨🇦🇬🇧❤️

    The seam guide doesn’t work on my Bernina but there is a tool with it I can use, just more time consuming to fit!

    Can you advise as to whether or not the magnetic seam guide would cause problems with a fully computerised machine please? Thanks for such informative videos.

      Hi Moira,
      I did check with our local sewing machine shop and they said that it would be fine.

    Does the needle threader work with sport yarn and thicker needles?

    • @LaurenGuthrieGhani
      @LaurenGuthrieGhani  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hmm good question. I haven't tactually tried so not sure but I suspect it would be more successful with regular/finer thread

    My Prym chalk pencil is less than useless. It simply does not leave any mark. (I didn’t get it from you). Am so disappointed.

    Hi Lauren do you or any of the team have experience of the Prym craft iron. I have been thinking it might be useful to get one that can stay in my sewing room. Thanks Helena

    • @LaurenGuthrieGhani
      @LaurenGuthrieGhani  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Helena,
      Is it that little mini iron? Yeh I have used it before and we have one in the studio. I have to admit I don't use it on a regular basis but when I have I have found it really good, gets nice and hot and has a good steam function. I always have my full blown ironing board and iron out anyway so tend to just use that, but as you say, having one in your sewing room might be a handy idea. :)

    Why can't you ppl just let us buy something instead of asking for all our data first? I wonder how y'all stay in business.
