    Hi Lucy! I recently made a dress and wanted to use snaps and never done so before. I bought the prym color plastic snaps and your video was very helpful, so I did put a link to your video in my simplicitly 8014 pattern review video description. I hope you don’t mind. And, by the way, when I did my snaps it was easy and made sense exactly. I am not looking back I now love the prym snaps lol! Thank you

    Could you please give me some guidance for replacing the velcro pocket fasteners with snaps? I wear "cargo" pants most of the time and the velcro fasteners irritate me when they work and nowadays don't work at all as they have worn out. What snaps and tools would you recommend I use to put snaps on my cargo pants?

    • @MadebylucyX
      @MadebylucyX  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jim! Yes of course, you should be able the how to for applying from this video here, and yo remove the velcro I would simply unpick the stitching with a seam ripper or small pair of scissors, going steady not to catch the fabric.
      Depending on the size of the pocket I would probably apply two snaps, hope that helps... lucy :)

    Hi, thanks for this video. I still have an issue though, the pointy bit are quite long and when I try to snap the 2 parts together (at the very end) the pointy bit is blocking. Did i miss something?

    • @MadebylucyX
      @MadebylucyX  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Caroline... mine sometimes do this if you put the snaps back in the pliers and give them an extra hard squeeze. Are you using Prym snaps?

    Has anyone else had problems with fastening these poppers together? We’ve put a lot of pressure on the pliers, but cannot get the. Poppers to click together without a lot of force- my husband can just about do it, I can’t fasten them at all.

    Hiya, these look great as fine motor skills aren't my superpower. Can I ask is there a mini popper available, for doll clothes. Im thinking a 5mm max size of popper. Thanks for your video.

    • @MadebylucyX

      Hello, you can get slightly different shaped pliers for example ones that you can push down on to secure, you may find those easier? I would have a search on ebay or amazon for snap pliers :)

    Have you ever used the shaped poppers? (Flowers/hearts/stars) I can do the circle poppers now but I can't work out how they work with poppers that don't fit in the white disc. Thanks!

    • @MadebylucyX
      @MadebylucyX  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Alice, Yes I have I use the same plastic attachment to apply the shaped snaps the ones I have used in the past the Prym ones fit in the pliers white disc, and can be applied in the same way x

      @@MadebylucyX hi! I've been experimenting today and the heart/stars fit well inside the usual white disc but the flower ones I have don't at all even though they're still prym! I've tried googling it but can't find an attachment or any advice on the flower ones. I have a story about it on my instagram right now with images @_wildlyalice
